Papertake Weekly "Let it Snow"

Finally feeling better. Has taken me 3 weeks to get over this horrible cold which took away all my energy and mojo. Together with the fact that my knee is still very painful after my fall. So hopefully I will be on the mend again.

This week it's my kids favorite theme at Papertake - Let it snow. They are all hoping for snow this winter - especially Phoebe as she has not really experienced it. I used these cute snowmen from Sugar Nellie's Home Grown series. They are just perfect.

High Hopes No. 7

This is a first for me - my first High Hopes challenge. I love these stamps but don't have a lot as there are so many cute stamps out there and a limited budget it's hard to choose lol.
This sweet giraffe is 1 of my favorite stamps as he (and the other jungle friends) are so super for all cards. This 1 is for my dad and inside read "You have been around for a looooooong time".

The theme this week over by The Secret Crafters is "Cute as a button" and Tilda certainly fits that bill. The huge flower is handmade to suit the colours I have used. The "greenish" paper at the back I have coloured using pastels - again to fit in with the colours.

Ismaki 37

A super sketch this week again from the ladies at Ismaki. I originally intended for this card to go to my ex-husband's aunt, who is terminally ill with cancer but then I remembered that she just adores owls. So now I am on the hunt for a super owl stamp so I can cheer her up a little. She married late in life (a man 20 years her junior) and so never had any kids. I always think of her as the owl-lady cos she would carry a toy owl everywhere :). Saw her just recently when she took my boys on a hot-air ballon trip. She has decided to do all the things in life she would NEVER dream of doing lol. She has even bought a fast racing car.
Anyways, this sweet Tilda will have to go somewhere else :).
