Peace Out

Good morning all!

Well, the sun is shining thru my bedroom window and my daughter is up - far too early lol. Might as well get a lot done early so I can enjoy the rest of the day. Will be taking Phoebe to the park later although it will be crowded and most of the equipment will be in-accessable. Both the boys have Saturday jobs so they will be busy.

First task is to post this card I managed to finish yesterday in between watching the wedding. This young lady is called "Peace Out" and is the latest digital images from Malin at Papilio Stamps. I just adore these and have done for a very long time. Promarkers again lol - must get back to my Prisma pencils soon. My father-in-law has made me a Lazy Susy for them (will take a photo once I have my new camera).

Pure Innocence - MFTWSC17

Well, just watched Prince William and Cathering saying their vows which brought a little tear to my eye. Isn't she just stunning in her beautiful dress. I am not an obcessed royalist but on an occasion such as this I think we all like to watch. They make a lovely couple and I hope they will stay together.
The sun is finally coming out here in Derbyshire and it's my weekly food shopping day again - I truely hate it. It might however be quit quiet today with the wedding :).

My card for today is for this week's challenge sketch over at My Favorite Things (link in my sidebar) and I have used another of the sweet Pure Innocence girls. So simple and a joy to colour, perfect for any occasions. Promarkers were used yet again for colouring.

Charlotte

Hope everyone had a really lovely Easter. The sun has been out every day here in the UK and I have not been on the PC for a few day. That doesn't mean I have been lazy - it just means that my boys have monopolised the PC lol. Been doing some crafting and have a few minutes to post this card.

This is for KRAFTIN'KIMMIE challenge and I have used the sketch for SKETCH SATURDAY to make the card. Don't you just love these quirky girls. I have not inked this one up for a long time and I think she was one of the first released. Promarkers were used to put a little colour to her cheeks :).

Fiona

Just a quick note from me. The sun is shining - it's lovely and warm. Did my shopping early this morning and chilling in the garden now.
Tomorrow Phoebe and I are going to her dad's house for Easter so I won't be able to do any crafting there but I am back home again Monday :).

This card is for the challenge at ATS Challenge "Make your own flower". I sure hope that die cut flowers put together with a button counts. It's my sun on the card lol. Have used a cute CC Design stamp and used my Promarkers. The background is also stamped but have used water-colours for that.

Music saves my life

Yes, this is my pick for this week's Music Saves My Life over by Marcea. Me and my 5 year old have a good laugh while we watch this and I truely wish I could have a lazy day.

Back later with a card - that is if I can get to the PC that holds my card scans :).

Lights Cherrie

Good morning all.

Yes yes - I know, I must be completely mad making a christmas card while the sun is shining and it's lovely and warm. But you can never start too early. Before we know it it's christmas again. Is it just me or does the time seem to go faster as we get older - I swear the days are running away from me.

Well, the reason for making this card is that the kind and talented Kellie from Tickled Pink Stamp offered a free digital xmas image on her FB page HERE. Couldn't miss that and made this card for their monthly Christmas challenge. The challenge is to feature "Bells" in your project and I used it in my sentiment.

Pure Innocence

Good evening all.

Another wonderful day in sunny England - yes, you did hear right!! Been to the park a lot and sending time out-doors. Need to enjoy it while it lasts, this is England after all lol.
The boys have now gone up to their dad's so peace and quiet had desended on my house. It's lovely when there is only me and Phoebe here although I do miss my boys. So not looking forward to Ben going to Uni this September - just know I am going to miss him and I'll be one of those mums who burst into spontaneous floods of tears and embaress him hehe. Until then I am just going to enjoy having him around.

So this is my card which I managed to put together today. Love these little girls as they are a joy to colour and suitable for lots of occasions. Quiet simply really but sometimes that's good :).

What's this!!! Another post from me today. Well, in between my cleaning, washing and ironing I managed to make this card for the lastest case'ing challenge over by TGF Farm Fresh Challenge. This little fellor has been coloured with Promarkers.

Lil Pinkette Pippa

Good morning all.

Well, the sun is shining and it looks like the weather is gonna be fab right up to easter weekend. Still busy spring-cleaning the house. Doing one room at the time as "all work and no play" is definately not me lol. Need to have my crafting fix and the kids are off school too. Have one question tho - how does a 5 year old girl amass 100s of teddies? They are everywhere in the house and I am seriosly having a clean out and taking some to charity shop. Have to do this without her knowledge because she'll just say "I can't possibly live without this one, nor those" and they all get to stay.

Right, been making this card for days now and finally finished it. Printed out the image 3 times because the ink "ran" when I used my Prisma pencils (I think cos of the thick black lines) so ended up colouring her with Promarkers. She's one of the sweet new images from Tickled Pink and this one is a digi. She is only available as a digi until 21st April so hurry! Have kept the card free from too much clutter as I wanted to showcase the image.

Josephine

Did you all have a lovely weekend??? Mine was uneventful but had a great time on Saturday in the park with Phoebe and her dad. Was in the park again yesterday - there is a connection between the sun shining and my daughter's desire to go to the park lol. Managed to do some crafting too.
This week the kids are of school so I have a lot planned with my oldest (18 years old) to get things done around the house before he goes to Uni in September. It will be an ongoing thing as there will be some bedroom swapping at that time. Trying to get rid of a lot of stuff we do not need anymore - so visits to charity shops and the local tip is on the cards.

Right, onto my card for today featuring one of the quirky images by the talented Annie Rodrigue. Isn't she just FAB!! Used my promarkers for this card as I wanted it to be bright, bold and cheerful.

Picking Apples

Good evening all.

Brrrrr - it's gone rather cold again here in the UK. The heating is back on and the winter coats get another airing.
Tomorrow the easter holidays start here in Derbyshire which means I shall have my kids home for the next 2 weeks. This means buying in more food (teenage boys eat like elephants - all the time), I shall also have to negotiate between them as to who's go it is on the computer (yes, I will definately loose out in that discussion) and trying to make sure Phoebe doesn't get bored.
Don't know if any of you have had this problem but in the last few days I have been re-thinking my card-making and stamping and where I want to go with this. I usually get a stamp/digital image because I like them - not really thinking about how much use I will get from it. This has resulted in a lot of boxes full and PC files full of images which never get used. So I have sat down and written a short list of my favorite stamp companies and will stick with those in the future. However, my neglected images will be given an airing as it's a shame to just ignore them. I have also been thinking about my own style of cards but not finished that thought yet lol.

Anyways, this image was one of the first stamps I bought in 2008 (I believe I gave it to myself as a birthday gift hehe). I don't think she's available anymore but she's lovely. Used Prisma pencils for colouring.

Boogie Down

Afternoon all.

Thank you so much to the person who sent my sun back - glorious 2 days with warm winds and sun. Nothing like a sunny day to lift your spirit and pump you full of energy.
However, been going over Phoebe's summer clothes today and discovered that it consists of 2 t-shirts and a pair of shorts lol. So that means a shopping spree to get her new summer clothes and shoes. She's just been in for a £1 to get the first ice-cream of the year from the ice-cream van and I tell you this - it won't be the last lol.

Rigth then, although I have been busy I managed to conjure up this little card. Used one of Kenny K's fabulous images (don't you just think they are great?)and coloured her with Promarkers. I didn't want a full size image - just the head to really show of this beauty. Lots of bling to fit in with a variety of challenges too.

Little Umbrella

Good morning all!

OK, who borrowed my sun. It was here last week but it seems to have disappeared so I have a feeling one of you ladies borrowed it. Well, I WANT IT BACK lol. Grey and chilly here for the past few days and I just want some sun and warmt which I am sure we all do after a loooong and cold winter.
I did provide a little sunshine for myself yesterday making this card. Isn't she delicious!!! I absolutely love these ladies that Mo's been putting in her shop lately - so suitable for the more mature woman hehe. I did use my promarker's this time but I want to colour her with my pencils too. This card is for my best friend when I went to school. We lost touch after leaving school and have only recently "discovered" each other again on Facebook and you know, it feels as if the last 30+ years never excisted :).

Jessamine

Good morning all!

Hope you all had a wonderful week-end. I know I did, it was Mother's Day in the UK yesterday. My children spoiled me :) - Phoebe gave me some lilac slippers (her favorite colour lol) and a cute little paper handbag she'd made at school. From the boys I got Thornton's Continental Chocolates and a DVD Boxset "The Tudors". So now I can sit with my feet toasting warm, eating scummy chocolate and watch the delicious Jonathan Reece-Meyers show off his gorgeous body as Henry VIII - mmmmm heaven. Obviously this only lasts until the kids want feeding then I am back down to earth again lol.

Today I want to show you something different than just my usually square card. I don't make cards with different folds not do I make boxes etc. Not that I don't want to but simply because I can't scan them. I do not have a camera at present so I scan my crafty makes. However, I wanted to try this Trifold card and it is scannable (yes I know - photo would be better lol). I am quite pleased with how it turned out so now I am sharing it with you. I shall be sending this to a dear friend who has a birthday soon. I used a wonderful stamp Jessamine designed by Amy Young. I won this last year. I am a huge fan of Amy's images and I totally LOVE her blog. She's so inspirational and her cards a joy to see.

Stardust

Good morning all.

Well, today is April Fool's day and I have a feeling the weatherman had an early trick up his sleeve. Promised glorious sun and warm temperature and what do I have - exactly, grey and cool. Maybe it will brighten up later. Phoebe went to school in her summer uniform so I bet her little legs will get cold but there was no telling her this morning as other girls are wearing them. Tonight she's having a friend over for dinner so she's very excited.
My son James is having a verbal french test today so we have been half living in France this week with him talking french - been rather fun and I really hope he's doing well.
New stamp arrived yesterday morning and had to be christened straight away. I absolutely adore these big eyed girls by Krista Smith. They are a dream to colour and wear the most fabulous shoes. This little lady is called Stardust, she's been coloured with Prisma pencils.
