Good afternoon all.
Oh boy, did you watch the Olympic Opening??? Wasn't it brill??? I truly enjoyed myself and thought it was amazing, very British. Full of a lot of influential music, a show for all the senses and what about letting 7 young people lighting the cauldron - loved it. My favorite moment..... when Her Majesty The Queen turned around to 007 she had a wicked little smile on her face. And right now the boys and I are watching the Cycling Road Race in which Britain hopefully will get a medal. ....... or 3 :). I love watching the Olympics - to watch 4 years of hard work, pain and dedication come together in such a wonderful celebration.
Ok, so I am squeezing a little crafting time in as well. I did colour up the same image with both Promarkers and Prisma Pencils, here is the final card. Will enter this into Splendid Stamping with The Greeting Farm.
Materials used: Lovey Dovey from TGF - Papermania card-stock - MME papers - TCS Studio "Transport" stamp set.
Thank you for dropping by and have a fab day. Hugs, Mette

Love you this much
Hello crafters.
A quick post from me. it's cloudy here but still very warm. Starting to feel a little bit better. Tonsillitis has gone but still have the massive marks on my arms which are red and painful.
Going to Gulliver's Kingdom tomorrow with Phoebe, James, Ben and Charlotte (Ben's GF) which should be fun. It's an amusement park aimed primarily at under 12s but we live just around the corner and have free tickets :).
We are starting to get very excited about the Olympics in this house - apart from Phoebe we are all looking forward to watching a lot of talented sports people :)
Here is my little creation for today. I have used an Elisabeth Bell digi stamp coloured with Promarkers. I will enter this into the Elisabeth Bell's World challenge "Summer Scene"
Materials used: Love you this much by Elisabeth Bell - Papermania card-stock - Bo Bunny Papers - twine - buttons - paper Smooches sentiment
Thank you for dropping by and have a great day. hugs, Mette

Horror post but with a little sugar at the end
Good afternoon crafters.
Well, I am knee deep in washing and ironing this week-end with my son back from his holiday and wet weather last week. Luckily the sun is shining so I am making good ground but hate the ironing, although I love to see all the clothes clean and ironed in the cupboards :).
My first Warning.... do not leave 6 year old girls unattended near your stash. I lost a sheet of A4 kraft stock and half a roll of pink washi tape when Phoebe felt she needed to be a little crafty this morning (pic to follow in another post). I have asked her not to use anything before asking me and normally I don't say no. I did hesitate a little when she wanted to use my markers but said yes as long as she sat next to me lol.
My second warning ..... look away now if you are scream'ish. This is a photo of my upper arm with the insect bites my doctor says have become infected. I have a few more bites on my arm, neck and shoulder. Not only are they very painful but they look horrible. I am hoping the penicillin will kick in soon.
So, this is my little sweetener, isn't she adorable?! Found this on etsy yesterday and love it. Her glasses are soo cute.....
Materials used: Groovy Love Girl from The Doodle Garden - Papermania card-stock - kraft - Echo Park papers - buttons - twine - sentiment from TGF

SALLY MEETS BELLA
Good afternoon crafters.
Well, it would seem that it's going to take a little longer to shift this flu. Still aching everywhere and my throat is so soar - definately not in the mood for crafting at the moment :(.
Had to take Phoebe down to the yearly carnival where everything is sooooo over-priced lol. We even have our own local Jack Sparrow (grrr - so not happy that Ben took my camera on holiday). I did spend a lot of pennies on silly rides and pennies but I think the main thing is that she had so much fun. It's definately one happy little girl singing "We will, we will rock you" behind me while doing a rock-chick show hehe.
Here is my little card for today - I just love Sally and she looks like she's having a lot of fun so will be entering this into Sassy Cheryl's "Summer Fun" challenge ....
Materials used:- Sally meets Bella from Sassy Cheryl - Papermania paper - Basic Grey fancy papers - buttons - Sentiment from TGF
Just time for me to thank everyone who drops by and hope you have a splendid day. Hugs, Mette

Let's go to Sleep
Afternoon crafters.
Would you believe it - THE SUN IS OUT!!! Been a really busy day for me. Went into town this morning to get a few bits, came home and made sandwiches for me and the boys, my internet was playing up (nearly had a heart-attack as I couldn't connect to the net), been doing lots of cleaning, washing and soon I will be cooking pasta for dinner. But the sun is shining and it's lovely outside. For the first time in ages. Who wants to be inside and cook lol. Tomorrow Ben is off to Majorca - he can't wait.
My card today features an images I haven't used for a long time but I thought I might try out for The Paper Shelter DT call. They have some gorgeous images and papers and are looking for a few ladies/gents. A simple card but am loving the colours ......

Hello Sunshine
Afternoon crafters.
I am afraid that my title is very misleading. Still grey, wet and chilly here in Derbyshire. My son Ben is going to Majorca on Thursday with his GF (lucky them) for a week so he will be seeing the sun before me I guess. I am just hoping that when I go home mid-August that the sun will be shining. If not I can always look forward to my birthday when I be getting a Big Shot (been on my wish-list for ages).
So, I decided to cheer everyone in the UK up by providing my own little sun. I will be entering this into the Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge ...
..... isn't he fabulous!? He's just perfect for a sunny card to a friend or family member who needs cheering up.
Materials used: Hello Sunshine from HERE - white and kraft card-stock - twine - Simple Stories paper

Vintage stamp :)
Good morning crafter.
Hm - yes, so I have not been blogging for a few days nor have I been able to do any crafting. It's a little mad here with both my sons home and off school, I dread end of next week when Phoebe finishes for the summer - there will be no me time lol. To top it all it's miserable here in the UK with rain, rain, rain, I am just hoping it will stop soon, hopefully just in time for the Olympics.
My card for today will be put forward for a month's Guest DT spot with The Digi Bells so crossing my fingers.
Materials used: dug out this old Whiff of Joy stamp but unfortunately all the papers have gone so can't remember his name, he's still a little cutie :) - Papermania cardstock - MME "Abbey Road" designer papers - glitter glue (for his wings).
Thank you for dropping by and have a lovely day. Hugs, Mette

Picking Apples
Good morning crafters.
I have to state that I am seriously upset about the English weather this summer. It's been one long and extremely wet May and June and it seems July is going to be cold, wet and dull too. Someone please tell the weather man that we need some sun to charge up our batteries for the dark, cold and wet winter ahead lol.
I was going to wait with my post today as I am waiting for a brand new camera to arrive. Alas, it has not come yet so you will have to put up with another scan. I am really excited about the camera, I got it in advance for Project Life. Can't wait to start "clicking" again hehe.
Right, my card for today features one of my favorite stamps (and one of the first I bought approx. 4 years ago) and I still love her. Made this card for Elphine House Challenge ............
Materials used: Picking Apples (mine is from Sugar Nellie but no longer available there) - Papermania card-stock - Cosmo Cricket papers - gems - Unity sentiment
Thank you for visiting me and have a great day. Hugs, Mette
I have to state that I am seriously upset about the English weather this summer. It's been one long and extremely wet May and June and it seems July is going to be cold, wet and dull too. Someone please tell the weather man that we need some sun to charge up our batteries for the dark, cold and wet winter ahead lol.

Follow me
Good morning crafters.
It's been a few days since I last posted - many apologies. Sometimes things get a little hectic and you just can't seem to fit everything in. Been busy with general mommy-duties, getting DT work done well in advance (going on holiday for 3 weeks so won't be able to craft - nor post) and researching what may well become my new obsession in September/October ..... PROJECT LIFE. Purchased a camera (hope it comes tomorrow) and as soon is I am able to get the Project Life Essential Starter Kit (in September) I hope to be stocked up, well prepared and rearing to go by then. I realized the other day that I am forgetting so many wonderful things in my life so want to do this. Will report more when I can.
This will not effect my love of making cards, might even add to it :). I made this very simple card over the week-end for Jellypark Challenges "Waving" - aren't these kids fabulous!!!! Totally love them ......
Materials used: Follow me from Jellypark - Papermania card-stock - Jillibean Soup paper
Thank you for stopping by and have a fabulous day. Hugs, Mette
