Callie kisses bluebird

Good evening crafters!

Well, madness has arrived in the wake of my son and his girlfriend are here. My son bringing all his belongings so having to find room for him over the next 2 months.

Phoebe is finally getting better so she'll be back to school tomorrow. She's pretty happy about that as one of her best friends is having a birthday party tomorrow. Mind you - she got the biggest shock of her little life this evening when walking from the kitchen to the lounge. The biggest spider EVA came out from a hole in the wooden floor and Phoebe jumped a mile. Luckily James managed to catch it and it's now happily living outside somewhere. I am telling you guys - the biggest house spider I have EVA seen.

Rock Dude

Oh my word I am back again. Posting twice in a day is almost unheard of but ....... I have this little dilemma that I feel guilty about my unused and neglected stamps and digis. Di start a showcase day but realized that it would take FOREVA and went back to the drawing-board. Had a look at all the companies I have and their challenges so will be trying to join in with what I can and hopefully feel less guilty. And I am still buying a few now and again - silly, right? So I might post more than once just to start using some of my images.

Second card of the day .....

Phoebe woke up the morning hot and complaining about ear-ache. She seems ok now after Calpol and some fruit. Will have to wait till tomorrow and see how she is.
Tonight is the big night - for my son (and most of the British male population) - England is taking on Italy in the EURO 2012. My only reason for wanting England to win is that it makes my son so much easier to live with lol.

TICKLED PINK sponsoring Send a smile for the kids

Good morning ladies.

This week Tickled Pink Stamps is proudly sponsoring the Send a Smile For The Kids challenge where they are asking you to create some "Birthday Fun For Kids".

They are more that just a challenge blog - they craft with a real purpose. Send A Smile 4 Kids is a charitable blog created for the purpose of collecting donated handmade cards to be distributed to children while they are inpatient at Children’s Hospitals. Currently they are donating them to the several different Children’s Hospitals. On any given day, there are many children inpatient in these hospitals so they would love to receive as many cards as you can send to cheer them and their families. The kids may also use your cards as Thank You Notes to the nurses and doctors and to give to parents or relatives on special days like birthdays or Mothers or Fathers Day. Any cards appropriate for children are welcome including any holiday (not religious specific please) and happy anyday cards. For more information, please click on Guidelines for Donated Cards Tab.

Crushin' Chloe

Hello all.

So Ben has gone back to Sheffield for the next 2 weeks to finish off lose ends at the University - he is taking part in a sports test designed by other students(possibly for their lectures). He will be back home at the end of the month until he begins lectures again at the beginning of September. James has finished all his GCSE exmas so now come the long wait for the results (the end of August). He'll start A-levels in September. Phoebe is still at school for another 5 weeks but she's not happy at the moment. In September she'll move into Class 2 and it's unsettling her. She goes to a small village school with aprox. 70-80 children so classes are joined together. She'll have to get used to a new classroom and new teacher. Big changes when you're only 6.

My card for today is for a friend who has spend A LOT of time, money and nerves on getting her driver's license (not telling how long tho). I doubt she will travel far as she is definately not a confident driver. But she has deserved this ....

......... I have used Crushin' Chloe from Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps as she's just perfer. There are not many stamps featuring card which are perfect for girls but this is on. And I loved making this card from the colouring to the sketch (maybe cos I know how happy my friend will be).

Materials used: Crushin' Chloe available HERE - Papermania cardstock - a mix of paper scraps - Glitter glue - hand doodling

Another week and you wouldn't believe we are in June. More like October/November. Just hope we'll get more sun for when the kids break up for the summer holidays.

The boys have been monopolising the TV since Friday now that EURO 2012 is in full swing. Just hope that England will do well tonight otherwise there will be a very depressed male population here tomorrow lol. I am ok as Denmark managed to beat Holland - a huge surprise as we are the underdogs in that group.

Had a few nice days so managed to get all my washing done - downside is that a pile of ironing is now waiting for me - maybe a little later.

Anyways, my card for today is .......

Good evening ladies

I have seriously considering building an arc in the back garden. I am sure with all this rain we are going to flood. Or worse - aliens stole our summer :P.

My 2 boys are back home and chaos has entered my house. The TV is no longer mine - pffff, what did I expect with EURO 2012 - at least I know what to expect during the Olympics (although I do enjoy that). And they are arguing :( - they apparently had a fab time in Sheffield. So I am retreating into my room to do colouring for the next 4 days lol - with Phoebe playing next to me :).

Anyway, today is Friday and that means a new challenge at DILLY BEAN FRIDAY CHALLENGES. This week our theme is Purple - easy peasy, right!?

Here is my card .....

......... I have used Pretty Flower Girl which is available HERE. She's so pretty and a dream to colour. Teamed her up with some scrap papers, Hero Arts sentiment, Ranger Ink and a button.

Right, time for you to head on over to the blog and check out the talented DT ladies projects. And then join in in our challenge. Remember you don't have to use Dilly Bean images to enter but we would just love to see what you make using them.

Thank you for dropping by and have a great day. Hugs, Mette

Clown

Good morning all.

Wow - what a fabulous Jubilee weekend we have had. The concert on Monday was amazing and the celebrations yesterday just wonderful. So many people showing the respect and love for the Queen, I doubt any other royal can command such an out-pour of affection. And noone throws a party quit like the British Royal family - even as an outsider I have loved every part of it. I hope HRH The Duke of Edinburgh recovers real soon and what a shame he missed part of it.

It's rather quiet here without James but it's the calm before the storm - both James and Ben will desend on my little house on Friday. Oh yes - I do miss my boys like mad but they are growing up and needs to live their lives :). I think Phoebe misses them too although I am sure she doesn't miss James teasing her lol.

Here is my card for today .....

....... the theme at Mayzy Art challenge is "Circus" and I just love this little clown. You can really go to town and use your imagination when colouring - so much fun. Theamed her with some REALLY old paper and a few buttons.

Challenges:-

Force Girl

Good evening all.

What a day. It's been raining all day and we so wanted the sun to shine on the Queen's river tour. Would you believe the Queen, who is 86, stood up for well over 3 hours taking in the sights of all the boats on the river in her barge as it joined the procession down the river Thames - what a fabulous lady. Even just watching it on the TV was spectacular and although I am not British I still felt a sense of pride (strange really). I am sure she enjoyed it immensely despite the rain. And tomorrow the concert followed by a Thanksgiving service in the St Paul's cathedral and carriage procession thu London. This really is an eventful time. Roll on the Olympics.

My project for the day ......

...... a little bookmark made for a girl who loves adventure and Sci Fi. She will have a book too :). Used Krista's super Force Girl, available HERE. I am a huge Star Wars fan so this girl had to come live in my collection of treasured images. A few different papers, some buttons and bits have been used. I am gonna enter this into the SC challenge "Tags".

Thank you for visiting and have a super day. Hugs, Mette

Bicycle Chloe

Good afternoon.

Hope everyone in the UK is enjoying this long bank holiday and the jubilee celebrations. Not sure when it all kicks off but will definately watch on TV. The British Royal family knows how to throw a party (remember last years wedding?!).

The weather here in my little corner isn't too good - very grey and I have a knitted sweater on. Hope the sun is back again soon.

Tomorrow James is going up to his brother in Sheffield for a few days. I am so happy as they have spent the past 15 years fighting and now they a chilling together hehe. Ben won't be home until the end of June as he has some loose ends to tie up. So for the next few days it'll only be me and my princess here. They kids have a week's holiday and then it's back again for 6 weeks before the 6 week summer holiday.

Here is my card for the day .....

....... I got this stamp a few week's ago and thought I would use it. I love riding a bike so this is a fun image for me. Simple layout and will enter this into the Sparkle Creation's challenge.

Thank you for dropping by and have a lovely evening. Hugs, Mette

Peony

Good morning all.

I am not sure if you know already but one of my favorite stamps are the Moonlight Whispers from Kraftin' Kimmie. I just love their quirky faces with huge eyes and tiny noses and Annie (the mother of all Whispers) is brilliant at coming up with the right image - of course in collaboration with Kimmie. I don't use them often enough but manybe that's cos I love a LOT of other stamps :).

One of their latest releases was flower girls and I have been holding back, telling myself that I definately don't need any more stamps that will just sit and gather dust, but in the end I couldn't resist any longer. And I got 2 :).

This is the first one .....

...... Peony. Isn't she gorgeous?! I so loved colouring her - that is one sweet and innocent face :). And love the little bee hehe. One of the good things about these stamps is the matching sentiment - they are always perfect for the image.
I will enter my card into the KRAFTIN'KIMMIE CHALLENGE "Get Sentimental".

Materials used: Peony from Kraftin' Kimme - cardstock - kraft - some old Basic Grey dp paper - button

Thank you for dropping by and have a great day. Hugs, Mette
