Florence

Good morning crafters.

It's a wet and grey start to the morning but we have been promised that it will clear later on for a bit of sun and warmth - even better, it's looking like it'll last for a few days - yiipii. Phoebe woke up the morning hot and complaining about ear-ache. She seems ok now after Calpol and some fruit. Will have to wait till tomorrow and see how she is.
Tonight is the big night - for my son (and most of the British male population) - England is taking on Italy in the EURO 2012. My only reason for wanting England to win is that it makes my son so much easier to live with lol.

Anyways, here is today's card ...

Peony

Good morning all.

I am not sure if you know already but one of my favorite stamps are the Moonlight Whispers from Kraftin' Kimmie. I just love their quirky faces with huge eyes and tiny noses and Annie (the mother of all Whispers) is brilliant at coming up with the right image - of course in collaboration with Kimmie. I don't use them often enough but manybe that's cos I love a LOT of other stamps :).

One of their latest releases was flower girls and I have been holding back, telling myself that I definately don't need any more stamps that will just sit and gather dust, but in the end I couldn't resist any longer. And I got 2 :).

This is the first one .....

...... Peony. Isn't she gorgeous?! I so loved colouring her - that is one sweet and innocent face :). And love the little bee hehe. One of the good things about these stamps is the matching sentiment - they are always perfect for the image.
I will enter my card into the KRAFTIN'KIMMIE CHALLENGE "Get Sentimental".

Materials used: Peony from Kraftin' Kimme - cardstock - kraft - some old Basic Grey dp paper - button

Thank you for dropping by and have a great day. Hugs, Mette

Samantha

Good morning all.

Well, after a lovely week-end it's back to grey and wet weather here in the UK. Not surprised?? Me neither lol. Despite the nice weather I have not been feeling well - flu #2 or just #1 making a stonger come-back. Don't feel like doing much exept wrapped up on my sofa watching CSI, Big Bang Theory and Glee. Sad, I know :).

Did manage to craft a little over the weekend and today's card ......

...... features the sassy Samantha. I have quite a few birthdays coming up soon and this on will be brilliant for a certain lady. I just simply followed the challenge over at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS "One layer". And since this is a huge year here in the UK - The Queen's diamond jubilee and the Olympics - I choose to use the english colours.

Thank you for dropping bu and enjoy your day. Hugs, Mette

Patsy

Good evening all.

Sorry I have been a little quiet but not been feeling good all week. I am sure I caught what the kids had but their bugs usually effects us in a bad way. And not been feeling up to crafting much. Been going to bed at 9 pm.

I did have a very busy week last week - we can't just go to bed and complain about "woman-flu" hehe - women don't get poorly, right?! Got my haircut (finally), went to Derby (stressful) and had my eyes tested (about time). So my new glasses will be ready for pick-up on Wednesday which means I might be able to see a little better.

Today has been a lovely sunny day here although as soon as it's evening it's soooooo cold. I did manage to make a card last night.

So, here is Sunday's card ....

......... perfect for mother's day. Which, by the way, is the theme at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS - my mum was a young girl in the 50s and I love this image. Just missing the jukebox now.

Materials used - Patsy from Kraftin' Kimme Stamps, cardstock, Bo Bunny designer papers, Ribbon, Button

Lily Lemon

Yes, it's me again.

Anyone interest in a 6 year old and a 16 year old??? They are driving me crazy, and those 2 are most certainly not poorly anymore. He's is teasing her and you know 6 year old girls - they can scream for England (insert own country here). So I am hiding in my little room, surfing and do a little crafting, pretending I have been abducted by aliens :).

So, presenting ......

...... Lily Lemon. She has been sitting on my desk waiting to be put on a card and I have felt a little guilty. Luckily for her there is a new KRAFTIN' KIMMIE CHALLENGE "Springtime" and she's perfect for that. And to brighten up on these grey and dull April days.

Joanie

Good evening all.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter although the weather here in the UK hasn't been the best. I have been really busy with all kids here over the past 2 weeks. Ben's going back to Uni on Sunday and then he has his exams during May. James is also preparing for lots of exams in May and June so a lot of studying.

I have been busy cataloguing my stamps and digis (ashamed to say there are lots which have never been used). Found some fabulous storage boxes for my rubber and hopefully one day I will be able to take piccies and show them. I am not nearly finished yet but determined to get it done asap and then working a system which means I will use old rubber and digis too.

Anyways, here is today's card ....

Pricilla

Good morning all from sunny Derbyshire.

It isn't nice when one of your children is ill but when 2 are ill mayhem erupts. It's not that I panic, it's just that my daily routine gets knocked out of sync and my time to craft is reduced (dramatically). However, both should be back at school tomorrow :).

Yesterday was my mother's 70th birthday and I did feel a little sad not being able to be there with her to celebrate. She went for a nice meal with my sister and brother (my other brother was skiing in the Alps - again lol) and the grandkids and it's always a little sad not being able to join in. Am planning a 3 week vacation home in the summer (been 3 years since we last went to Denmark).

So, today's card is for KRAFTIN' KIMMIE CHALLENGE .....

........ I have used "Pricilla" as she was already coloured and teamed her up with some scrap paper. Had a massive tidy up of my scrap papers yesterday - sorted them into themes/colours and collected small pieces of scrap in a bag to give to school. I am going to make a huge effort to use up all my scraps.

Drucilla

Good morning all.

Did you enjoy yesterday's release?? There will be a lot more to show over the next few days so keep looking out for it.

Well, the kids are off school this week so don't get a lot of time to craft nor blog. Phoebe is easily bored so I have to keep her entertained and I tell you, it gets harder and harder playing princesses when you feel like a granny lol. At 51 I don't excactly feel like Sleeping Beauty :).

I did get a little time the other day and decided to try some experimenting. I am not sure whether it worked but it does look better in RL ......

......... I stamped Drucilla with Versamark and then embossed with WOW! white embossing powder. I used my Promarkers for colouring but didn't want a lot. I rather like how this turned out but not entirely sure - what do you think?!

50s Judy

Good morning all.

Yes the snow is still here and had a lot of fun playing in it yesterday. A hot mug of cocoa afterwards did wonders for getting warm :).
This morning Phoebe went on a school trip - all the main roads are clear so it wasn't a problem.

Today's card is for KRAFTING KIMMIE CHALLENGE ...............

................ their theme this week is Birthday card to celebrate Kimmie's birthday. Well, there are so many fabulous stamps to choose from and I went with this saucy thing - she looks as if she's celebrating something :).

Angie

Good morning all.

Well, it's damp and grey here today. Not a very nice day at all but atleast it's on the mild side. Tomorrow we have Phoebe's party to be held at the local play center - omg! they charge a lot for a 2 hour session. I am just forunate she didn't want to invite the entire class hehe. That would have been a small fortune.
One of the mums at school is kindly making the cake - a princess with a huge crinoline. She bakes all the cakes etc for the school's events. She said she would do it for the cost but that hardly seems fair.

Which bring's me onto today's card ..................

................. a little card to say Thank you. In my opinion you can never have too many Thank you cards. It's just thoughtful to thank someone for all their kindness. Which remind's me, I have to do 10 for Phoebe's friends before Monday - so what am I doing here, far to busy to be surfing today lol. Just need to enter this into KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS CHALLENGE. Aurelia

Evening all.

Well what a muddle. I went yesterday to fysio on my foot and was going to do my christmas food shopping. Unfortunately I could NOT remember the pin for my bank card and after 3 attemps it got frozen. I did remember the number when I got home but now it's too late as the card is frozen lol. I am having to use the money my mum sent me for christmas to go food shopping until I can get this mess sorted. I think that as I get older I will have fewer and fewer cards - I won't be able to remember them all lol.

I know I said it was my last christmas card yesterday (or was it Tuesday) but I wanted to share this tag I made for my daughter ............

href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijG-3tHbSI8qxV3Fc7no69L44-9khsEp0-RDc8HDg3BT4vnMh-fLeEcpAdBj7Nwdv9AfA6Q1jilVfPMJ-_w3KuO9uizF64rfTMSTEBgaLYWV1CGsn21SwdBWvTDJqouAuBvhYw7mnQFXA/s1600/Aurelia0001.jpg">

Piper

Good morning all.

Hope everyone is still keeping sane in the rush before christmas. I went meat shopping yesterday and the supermarket was not very busy. It was strange to be there without the rush but maybe people are going later for the deals. Only need a few bits from the local shops and I am ready to enjoy the day with the kids.

Phoebe has gone to see Jack and the Beanstalk Panto today. She was really looking forward to it. And the teachers are treating all the kids from school to another theater trip to see Roald Dahl's BFG in January. Tomorrow is her last day and they are having a christmas party.

Anyways, I am finished with my cards for this year and just doing a few tags to go on the presents. This is one of them ...............

.................... I have used a Kraftin' Kimmie image. Tags are easy and fun to make as you can totally go wild with your imagination. But not here lol - this is a simple and easy one.

Charlotte

Good afternoon all.

So we are having typical english autumn weather here at the moment. You know when it's grey, foggy, cold and generally miserable. Hate it!! I want to be able to see the sky and the sun even when it's cold. Not this "can't make up my mind" weather. Been out for a few walks but with my feet still being painful and no sign of a fysio appointment yet it's not much fun.

Tomorrow I am having my E.C.G and on the 5th December a device fitted which measure my BP every 30 min over a 24 hour period. Hopefully after that my doctor will be able to tell me that I am as healthy as an ox hehe.

Over the past few days I have had another look through my stamp collection and remembering exactly why I bought my stamps. Some of them were impulse buys - you know the ones you buy cos you see them on different blogs and absolutely must-have - and they are currently being sold on ebay as I know I will never use them. As a single SAHM of 2 kids with limited finances (kids grow so fast and cost so much lol) I have to be think hard when it comes to buying stamps. So when I get a "I WANT THAT STAMP" moment while surfing the blogland I have to apply my spending brakes. And ask myself 1. Is this one of my favorite artist? 2. Is the stamp versatile? and 3. Will I be using the stamp more than once?. That way I know I get what I really want and stop myself from buying stamps that will just gather dust. I am sure I am not the only one having to do this :).

So the stamps I do have I treasure just like the one used for this card ...........

............. for KRAFTIN' KIMMIE CHALLENGE which is a sketch. I love Annie Rodrique's images. And I wish I could get them all hehe. They are quirky, so much fun to colour and suitable for both young and old alike. This was the first Annie stamp I bought and I think she's fab.

Natalie the Knitter

Good morning all.

I hope that everyone in the US had a wonderful halloween. I was unable to take Phoebe trick or treating as I was looking after a friends to little ones but judging from her reaction at the school disco it was prolly a good idea lol. Didn't get many callers either compared to previous years so stuck with a lot of candy :(. Halloween isn't such a huge event here in the UK.

Here is today's card made for KRAFTIN' KIMMIE CHALLENGE ...................

.................. "Monochromatic". This is another stamp I puchased and then she just went into the Lonely Stamps Club. Why I haven't used her yet I don't understand - she's fabulous. The sentiment comes with the stamp which just brings it all together. I have used a sketch from ANNABELLE'S STAMP BLOG - it was nice and simple :).

Drucilla

Good morning all

It really is starting to get colder but I love it when the sun is shining too - it really gives meaning to the saying "A brand new day". Still feeling rotten andnot sleeping well due to a sore throat but not a lot you can do about a flu lol.

My mum is finally back home after camping for 2 weeks. I thought she had been camping around Denmark but turns out they went to France. She has a very good friend who lives there and I think they had a lovely time.
I also got an update on my gran and it's not looking too good. She's slowly going downhill every day and is back in hospital. All she does is sleep, she has no appetit and seems to be losing the will. We are hoping she can go into a nursing home and that may cheer her up a little. So I am debating whether to go home or not to see her - on one hand I want to go and give her a massive hug and tell her how much I care about her, on the other I want to remember her as she was 2 years ago when I last saw her. There is also the financial side to consider but my mum would take care of that.

Ok, enough of my ramblings. This is for KRAFTIN' KIMMIE CHALLENGE ............

.................. who claim that this week's challenge is easy - "use your favorite KKS stamp. Are you joking?! Extremely HARD picking a favorite but I finally narrowed it down to Drucilla. She's so fun and funky and I LOVE her hair. KKS also have a guest design call for December which I may enter.

Aurelia

Good morning all.

Whoa - what a thunderstorm we had here yesterday evening. Loud and bright and the heaven opened to throw 1 months worth of rain on us lol. Was quiet amazing to watch but I only say this cos we haven't had a lot of rain for quite some time. At least the sun has decided to come out this morning which is excellent when having to walk kids to school :). I could actually just buy a catapult and throw her to school - we live pretty close hehe.

Well, with my card today I am adding another christmas card to my pile ............

.................. I was lucky enough to win this fabulous angel from KRAFTIN' KIMMIE CHALLENGES and wanted to use her for this week's challenge. Isn't she fabulous!? She comes with her own little sentiment. I totally love the Moonlight Whispers and have starting a slowly growing collection lol. Her dress has been paper pierced and I have kept the design simple to show of the image.

So onto today's card .................

Kraftin' Kimmie 89

Good morning all.

Well, Phoebe is starting to miss her friends I think cos I am having to play all these weird made-up games her imagination comes up with and believe me they are strange. She has been watching some of the early Harry Potter movies lately and we are playing strange wizard games lol. Ah - wish I was 20 years younger.

Another nice day here - sun, a few white clouds and warm weather. Wonder where the rain is that they promised. Have booked a coach trip to the Zoo at the end of the month so looking forward to that. Don't think Phoebe has been to the Zoo yet. Actually we are all looking forward to it incl my sons :)

This little card is for KRAFTIN' KIMMIE CHALLENGE and they don't want to see any embellishment on the card. So away goes the ribbons, flowers, buttons etc and just letting the image do the talking. I hope that my sentiment is not considered embellishment otherwise I am in trouble lol.
