Kneeling Willow

Good afternoon ladies.

It's amazing how a little sun and warmth suddenly brings out all the nasty bugs which make our lives a misery. I have been feeling under the weather for a few days - nothing specific but yesterday I was poorly. I have really not been feeling like crafting and even forgot my DT post for Dilly Beans yesterday :(. I feel bad about that as I hate letting people down. Will have to make it up to Megan next week - somehow.

So, I have been thinking lately about my crafting, stamps and the fact that I seem to collect a lot of both rubber and digis but most of them hardly ever gets used. Feel really bad about that as there was a reason why a specific stamp was bought in the first place. So I have now started to catalogue all my stamps (both rubber and digi - and no I didn't realise what I let myself in for lol) and I am finding a better storage system for my rubber (putting them in random boxes on my shelves is not the best way to "spotting" a neglected stamp). I am hoping this will make me use my older stamps more - especially while cataloguing them. You know the moment ... "Oh yes - I remember buying this stamp :)". So you will be seeing a revival of old and neglected stamps - and yes, I know I have said that before but this time I mean business (WILLPOWER .... WILLPOWER .... exhausted)

So, my card for today ....

..... features an old stamp from Whiff of Joy. Given her som fresh spring colours and she's as good as new again :).

Eleanor May

Good morning all.

As this is a scheduled post I am not sure what the weather is like this morning but hopefully we'll have more of the wonderful sunshine we have had in the last few days. Especially now with the kids Easter holidays starting.

Today is Phoebe's last day before the break and the whole school - yes all 80+ a few pupils will be performing music from The Lion King in honour of the musicals anniversary - Oh, I can't wait. I always love to watch my kids perform and I feel all proud and tearful lol. Silly I know but I am sure most mums feel like this

I just want to remind everyone that the "Silhouette challenge" is still in full swing over at Little Miss Muffet. The freebie is still available until the 30th March so if you wanna play along with us hop over and grab it :).

Of course if you are using one of the fabulous images from Little Miss Muffet stamps the theme is as always Anything goes which is what I have done today .....

........ The Hatter images are great for both young and the young at heart and I love them all. This is made for my niece who will be 23 soon. She's moving tho the states next month with her husband who will be training as a pilot. I think my sister will miss her - A LOT.

Thank you for visiting and hope you enjoy your day. Hugs, mette

Shawna with latte

Good morning all.

Wow - we are certainly having some lovely days at the moment - beautiful sunshine and it's feeling a little on the warm side. Wonder how long this will last but as long as it's here I am going to enjoy it to the max.

So yesterday I did get a little wake-up call. At 3 pm decided it might be a good idea to start my beef stew (James' favorite) when he told me that actually it wasn't 3 pm as the clocks had been put forward. Oh yes - we had dinner 1 hour late lol. I totally forgot that summertime was starting hehe.

I love blog hopping - I don't always leave a comment as I find I tend to repeat myself but I love everything I see from the talented ladies I follow. It does have a drawback since it's not kind on my purse. Why??? I hear you ask - well, I come across image I NEED (well, want is a better word lol). So shame on you Mina for introducing me to MAYZYART, oh, some lovely images there :). This is my first card featuring these image .......

2 daisies in a bottle

Good morning all.

Hm - don't reckon much to all this mist and dense fog. It's lasting well into lunchtime and don't feel at all like going out. Do have a lot of cleaning to do this week-end and washig - I only hope it will get dry.

Well, I am currently living with Miss Stroppy - talk about attitude. The slightest thing and she's off on her "cross her arms, stomping into my room while pouting while giving wind to her dis-pleasure". Ladies, I fear for my future sanity especially once she reaches teenage stage. Talk about crying for the camera - I feel sure whe'll make a good actress one day lol.

Today's card ....

Dilly Bean Friday Challenge - Party

Good morning all.

It's really been a funny kinda day and I am ever so sorry for being late with my post. Not sure whether I have been coming or going but I am finally sitting down.
Had to go shopping for my bird this morning and came home with things I DIDN'T need lol. Found some danish specialities at Lidl and couldn't just walk by - I mean, are you kidding me lol!!!
Spoke to my mum this morning. They are waiting to set her urn at rest next to my grandad. On Sunday she would have been 90 and all 3 "girls" are going to my grans house for a coffee and cake - she liked that :). I must admit I still get very upset and I know i am gonna miss her so much.

So, here is my card for this week's DILLY BEAN CHALLENGE ...

..... I always buy invitations but if you make them yourself you'll get the perfect ones. Made several of these for a friend - she need some for her old school friends for a little get together. Love Megan's images - they are so versatile and fun to colour.
Why don't you visit the BLOG and have a look at what the other DT ladies have made and perhaps pick up s little inspiration and join us this week. Megan's images are available HERE and she's constantly adding new super images.

Thank you for dropping by and hope you have a great evening (or day). Hugs, Mette

Little Miss Muffet Challenge - Silhoette

Good morning all from what promises to be a glorious day.

It's time for a new fortnightly challenge at Little Miss Muffet Stamps and we have a good one this week! You may remember that last week we had some lovely new releases to show you? Did you notice they included Silhouettes? Well this week our challenge to you is to create a project using a Silhouette for the main image.

Head over to the challenge blog to check out what the design team have done and while you are there pick up the free bunny silhouette Barbara is giving away until March 31st! I love how everyone has their own unique style. It really shows when there are no images to colour up.

This is my little card ....

..... So now it's your turn to join in. Pick up the free silhouette and have a go. It really isn't that scary lol.

Thank you for dropping by and have a super day. Hugs, Mette

Ida Lulu

Good morning all.

Well, this morning one of the other mum's called EARLY and asked if I would do her "math's game" for her as her son was poorly which I am quiet happy to do. Turned out my services wouldn't be needed this morning as another mum had been "pursuaded" (bullied more likely) by her kids to do it lol. So I feel kinda likea loose cannon this morning and might have a clean up in some of my craft drawers. A better storage system is in order otherwise I "forget" what I have.

TODAY's card .....

...... isn't she just brilliant!? I totally love her and made this using the fabulous sketch at STAMPING BELLA. Have used a little paper piecing. This will be a birthday card for my dad's wife - she'll love it :).

Pricilla Pie

Good morning all.

It's another sunny day here in Derbyshire and I have a last a little peace. Phoebe wanted to go to school this morning and as she was feeling better I let her. She did have a hot night and woke a few time for inhalor but she seems fine today. We only live 3 min away so if she gets worse her teacher would call me.

So am getting a little time to catch up with a lot of things - cleaning, washing, all the boring jobs lol. But the best thing - it's quiet lol. Phoebe talks non-stop and I mean NON-STOP and it's nice to get a little brain rest. Not that I mind her chattering and singing :).

Been reading this book James got fot christmas "School Fail (Hilarious Howlers from School)" and I might entertain you all with a few bits, so .....

'A giraffe needs a long neck because it's head is so far from its body'

and this one had me in stitches .....

'Q: Why are owl chicks born with feathers? A: Because otherwise thier mothers would mistake them for worms and eat them.'

On that note here is my card for today .....

Laugh Lines Flower

Good morning all from a sunny Derbyshire.

Well, it's a grogeous day (so far)here and the sun is shining. Unfortunately my princess has a bad cold and can't stop coughing so I am keeping her home today. Her breathing gets effected when she has a cold.

My gran's funeral service was on Saturday and it felt a little sad not being able to attend but we looked into me going home and it was just going to be far too expensive and cumbersome. My mum has sent me photoes of the flowers.

James has his cooking exam today. I got all his ingredience on Saturday so I just hope everything goes well for him. Lots more exams to come this spring for GCSE and then it's the long wait to end of August for the results.

So, today I wanna show you this .....

....... made this for the ATS WEDNESDAY CHALLENGE "Anything goes". Nice and easy hehe - just how I like 'em. Love this little girl - she's so cute which a fresh face.

Dilly Bean Friday Challenge - Stars

Good morning all from a, yet again, grey and dull Derbyshire.

What a morning! Not sure what happend with Phoebe - might have been a combination of having a cold, not sleeping well cos she has difficulties breathing, her falling out with her best friend a little yesterday at school and my gran passing away - but she was crying badly this morning. Decided it might be better if she stayed home and had a little rest. She then realised that today is her best friends "princess birthday tea-party" and she would miss that if she stayed at home, she quickly calmed down and she's now happily at school. And I am left bewildered and wondering if this is the sign of things to come in about 8-10 years time lol. Talk about major drama episode - definately worth an Oscar hehe.

Anyway, it's Friday and that means it's time for another DILLY BEAN FRIDAY CHALLENGE and I present .......

.......... Martin - isn't he handsome :). He is one of Megan's new images and I thought he was perfect for this week's "Stars" Challenge. But don't just sit here at my blog and drool over him - get over to the DILLY BEAN BLOG and check out the other DT ladies wonderful projects and while there go to the shop HERE and pick up your very own handsome hunk :). There are some fab new images and Megan is constantly adding new ones. You might even get inspired to play along with us, we'd love to see you.

Thank you for visiting me and have a fabulous day. Hugs, Mette

Hugga Bugga

Good evening from a darkening Derbyshire :).

Well, it's getting quiet late and I have not posted today. This is hereby done. Went to town today as I needed to get a present for Phoebe's friend. She's having a princess tea-party tomorrow - not sure who Phoebe is dressing up as this time. I also needed a few things and to post a card for my sister. Having to go to the post office to post birthday cards as standard postage just isn't enough lol. Maybe I should stop making cards ............... NAH!!!!!

Ok, so here is today's crafty tidbit .....

...... a sweet card for a dear friend. We all know how valuable they are to our well-being and for support. I have used this super little image from Tiddly Ink and am entering the card into TIDDLY INK CHALLENGE "Best friends". Did you know that Tiddly Ink has a bargain basement??? Garden Mae

Good morning from a dull and grey Derbyshire.

Pffff - grey and dull again. Not much fun when all I need is a little spring sun to make my day. Today I was doing maths games in Phoebe's class - these are 4-6 year old kids - and I love helping out. Did guided reading yesterday and the boys I had did some impressive readin. It's nice to see how quick they all come along.

Been looking at flights to Denmark this morning , my mum wanted me to come home for the funeral on Saturday - oh boy is that expensive. I would rather wait till the summer and go for 3 weeks and for lot less money. And if we went now it wouldn't be a happy affair for Phoebe. She wants to go to the beach and Legoland hehe.

So, today I am showing a fabulous image .....

Pet lamb and some sad news

Good morning all from a dull Derbyshire.

For those of you who have been visiting me it will come as no surprise to learn that my gran died early yesterday morning. She went peacefully in her sleep. She had been given morphine to take the pains away from her lying on her bare bones. A nurse was sitting with her at the time. My mother told me that she had been dress in a beautiful white dress with lace (she bought it years ago for this) and she was then covered in roses - one from every family member. I am finding this very hard as I have not seen her for over 2 years and last spoke to her in September but she has gone downhill so fast from being healthy and well August last year. I am gonna miss her terribly.

So, for today's card I have this ......

...... I made this for her 90th birthday which would have been on the 25th of this month. I know she would not have been able to see it but if she could she would have loved it. I will also enter this into the A DAY FOR DAISIES CHALLENGE.

Thank you for visiting me and have a lovely day. Hugs, Mette

One of the boys

Good morning from an overcast Derbyshire.

Well, I haven't been posting over the week-end, it's been a funny one really. Ben has been home and it's always nice to have him around. We went to the local town for hair-cuts, shopping etc. I have been doing some crafting , trying to get ahead of myself :).

Yesterday was a little strange, I felt really sad and then my mum called me at 9.30PM - my gran is doing really badly. She has not been eating nor drinking for the past 4-5 days and is now just lying in her bed with her eyes closed. So it looks like she properbly won't make 90 in 2 weeks time.

Anyways, here's today's card .....

........ my son has a friend and she's more "Oe of the boys". Don't think I have ever seen her wear anything slightly girly or be interested in girly stuff :). So I made this card for her - the image is just perfect - and kept the colours really neutral (she's black, brown and blue girl). Obviously bows and flowers were a no-no so it's a simple card. I will enter this into the first challenge at D'ARCY's DAIRIES

Dilly Bean Friday Challenge

Good afternoon from a dull and grey Derbyshire.

Frinally Friday again. Today Ben's coming home for the week-end. It's amazing how much I miss him - I don't pay much attention to it but it's always at the back of my mind that he's no longer here. It will be good to see him again. Mind you, he'll be home all summer before uni starts again so maybe by the end of it I'll be singing a different tune lol.

My gran will be moved to a new nursing home very soon. She has been spending a few weeks in a hospice to see if she would improve with some individual care and attention but it would seem that all she does is lie in her bed or sit in a chair asleep. My mum said she's so skinny. It's really hard to think about my gran like this so maybe I am a little grateful that I can't see her. I am sure I wouldn't like it. My mum thinks she's just hanging on till the 25th March when she turns 90 :(. Breaks my heart.

Anyways, enough sad talk - like I said it's Friday and that means we have a new challenge for you over at Dilly Beans Friday Challenge. This week we ask that you go crazy with GLITTER - not too hard lol. Here's my card ...

.... using one of the latest images from Megan. This is just so beautiful and can be found HERE. I have used some Basic Grey papers, a little glitter on the butterflies and the sentiment is embossed using black glitter emboss powder.

Why don't you jump over to the challenge blog and have a look at the other DT ladies fabulous projects and then hopefully join in. We'd love to see you.

Thank you for dropping by and have a great day. Hugs, Mette

Agent Eclair dropping

Good morning all from a grey Derbyshire.

Well February was a busy and exciting month for us at Little Miss Muffet Stamps! We hope you enjoyed seeing all the fabulous new Paris Release images! And of course some of the images were released as rubba for the first time eva!!

So, we are having a new challenge for you this time inspired by our very own Leah Ann. She always makes such beautiful easel cards, so we decided to have a challenge for you to make an Easel, Shaped or Step Card. You don't have to use a Little Miss Muffet stamps image, but if you do then you can submit a project with the theme Anything Goes. We always love to see your Little Miss Muffet Stamps projects!

Here is my project which isn't a card .....

..... but a bookmark. Phoebe is forever asking me to make these for her and her friends. I have used the fun loving Agent Eclair and she is available HERE. She would be a brilliant bookmark for any action book hehe.

Why not go to Little Miss Muffet Challenge blog and have a look at all the fabulous inspiration by the DT ladies and then join us for this fabulous challenge. Looking forward to seeing you there :).

Gathering Love

Good morning all from sunny Derbyshire

Another lovely day - the sun is shining but it's till bitterly cold. I will be sitting at my desk doing a little colouring with the sun shining on me :) - ah, can't wait till summer.

Phoebe and I had to pick up her friend sho's mum is really pooly with flu atm. She's not in a fit state to take her daughter to school but as we live in a small village it's not really a problem. There are only about 80 kids in the school so everyone know each other. I did "guided-reading" which is to help out at school reading with the little ones (4-6 year olds) and tomorrow is "Maths games" which is really fun too. I think Phoebe likes the idea of mummy helping hehe.

Today's card .....

..... features a never inked-up stamp. Why I don't know as it's absolutely lovely. I won this a while back and she's just been sitting there waiting for me to notice her lol. I will enter this into QUIXOTIC SKETCH CHALLENGE. As always I have kept my card on the simple side. Hope you likey :).

Bunny Luv

Good morning ladies from sunny Derbyshire.

Well, What a strange week-end. Saturday was sun and showers, yesterday it never stopped raining and today - bright sunshire. To top it all I have had a lot of ideas floating in my head ......did I just hear a collective gasp :) ...... and got some quality crafting done. Has to write a lot of it down as my brain-capacity these days has been dramatically reduced hehe.

Today's card features ..........

........... this little girl. Isn't she fun!? I based this card of the fact that when I informed Phoebe that the Easter Bunny would bring her easter eggs she went "Huh?? Don't you know mummy that eggs come from CHICKENS" and she looked at me as if I had lost my mind lol. I will enter this into the SATURATED CANARY CHALLENGE where the theme is "Doilies".

Good morning all.

You know the times when you are rushed off your feet and trying to catch your own tail?? Well, having one of those weeks lol. And what happend to February? It went by so fast I almost missed it. I have heard that the older you get the faster time seems to go by - jeez, must be 1000 years old at the moment lol.

James is doing exam re-sits (he wasn't happy with the B he got lol) and yesterday he did a practise run of the dish he's cooking for (insert subject name here as I have forgotten) exam - Coq au vin - it was DE-LI-CI-OUS. This year is GCSE exams and he is doing A-levels after.
