Vintage stamp :)

Good morning crafter.

Hm - yes, so I have not been blogging for a few days nor have I been able to do any crafting. It's a little mad here with both my sons home and off school, I dread end of next week when Phoebe finishes for the summer - there will be no me time lol. To top it all it's miserable here in the UK with rain, rain, rain, I am just hoping it will stop soon, hopefully just in time for the Olympics.

My card for today will be put forward for a month's Guest DT spot with The Digi Bells so crossing my fingers.

Materials used: dug out this old Whiff of Joy stamp but unfortunately all the papers have gone so can't remember his name, he's still a little cutie :) - Papermania cardstock - MME "Abbey Road" designer papers - glitter glue (for his wings).

Thank you for dropping by and have a lovely day. Hugs, Mette

Kneeling Willow

Good afternoon ladies.

It's amazing how a little sun and warmth suddenly brings out all the nasty bugs which make our lives a misery. I have been feeling under the weather for a few days - nothing specific but yesterday I was poorly. I have really not been feeling like crafting and even forgot my DT post for Dilly Beans yesterday :(. I feel bad about that as I hate letting people down. Will have to make it up to Megan next week - somehow.

So, I have been thinking lately about my crafting, stamps and the fact that I seem to collect a lot of both rubber and digis but most of them hardly ever gets used. Feel really bad about that as there was a reason why a specific stamp was bought in the first place. So I have now started to catalogue all my stamps (both rubber and digi - and no I didn't realise what I let myself in for lol) and I am finding a better storage system for my rubber (putting them in random boxes on my shelves is not the best way to "spotting" a neglected stamp). I am hoping this will make me use my older stamps more - especially while cataloguing them. You know the moment ... "Oh yes - I remember buying this stamp :)". So you will be seeing a revival of old and neglected stamps - and yes, I know I have said that before but this time I mean business (WILLPOWER .... WILLPOWER .... exhausted)

So, my card for today ....

..... features an old stamp from Whiff of Joy. Given her som fresh spring colours and she's as good as new again :).

Fall Willow catching leaves

Hello all.

Well, what a muddle. My bathroom looks like a war-zone. Upon removing the tiles the workmen found that the damp-proof course was failing and the walls are soaked. So all the plaster has to be taken off, a new damp-proof course injected before they can even begin re-tiling and putting in my new bath-tub. A good job we have a week's holiday coming.
I have had a new roof put on my shed and the handyman has helped me with some drilling (and yes, I know is sounds very wrong lol). He has put up all the nice things in Phoebe's bedroom (I am useless with a drill) - she'll be really pleased when she get's home from school.

I have done quiet a few things around the house which I have been putting off so I feel pretty good today. Phoned my mum earlier and my gran will be going to a recreation home as soon as her pneumonia is gone. She seems strong and in fairly good health but can't be asked to do anything - doesn't even want to get up. Hopefully that will change once she get's to the home.

So for today's card I have made this for FRIDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE .........

................ I have used yet another neglected stamp - as a matter of fact I don't think I have ever inked her up :(. I don't often follow sketch challenges as some of them can be too "fuzzy" for my taste but this one is nice and simple. Elisabeth Bell's images are so sweet and full of innocence.

MATERIALS USED

Fall Willow catching leaves from Whiff of Joy
Cardstock
Cosmo Cricket "Nutmeg"
K & Co. sentiment and flowers
Promarkers

OTHER CHALLENGES

WHIFF OF JOY - anything but square (rectangular is ok I hope)

Whiff of Joy + Color Throwdown + Crafts and me + Flutterby Wednesday

Good afternoon Thursday.

Just when I thought I would be getting some well deserved peace ALONE my sons are both home today - one with flu, the other cos he doesn't have any lessons (he's on his last A level year). So be making lunch, washing, fetching this and that etc etc and not able to indulge in my daily blog-surfing. However, did give me a chance to finish this ........

as I had a headache last night I didn't get to finish my card and been doing it this morning. Made this using the sketch at WHIFF OF JOY and using the colour challenge at COLOR THROWDOWN. The papers are torn to fit with the challenge at CRAFTS AND ME and since the image has wings it will go well for FLUTTERBY WEDNESDAY. As with most of my colouring I have used Promarkers and I had a lot of fun with this sketch. Loved the paper tearing too :).

Whiff of Joy #80

With father's day quickly approaching I was a little at a loss ad to what to make until I saw this little guy. My daughter thinks her daddy is a big super hero and Spider Henry is just perfect. He is a free digi download from Katharina and can be found HERE.
I coloured him using Prisma pencils and blender. I used the lovely sketch over at the Whiff of Joy challenge and will enter this card there. The papers are from my stash and the sentiment is computer generated. Hope you like him.

Whiff of Joy # 76

When I first saw the Norma Fickel stamps from Whiff of Joy back in 2009 I loved them instantly. I got a few for christmas but have not gotten any since then. This image landed on my door step this morning and I had to ink it up straight away. Isn't it lovely?? I am entering it into this week's WoJ Challenge. I have coloured the image with my Prisma pencils and blender and added gold glitter glue to the stars. There is also lots of gold embossed on the DP.
