Good morning Friday.
I can't believe that it's been a week since I last posted - just goes to show that all your good intentions can get knocked sideways by the things life throws at you lol. Have not really been in the mood to craft which usually happens when I receive some bad news. My dad had an accident while skiing in Austria and they only thought he had cracked a few ribs. Turns out a few days later that he was bleeding internally and my mum and him are stuck in Germany for 5 days till he can be transported home to Denmark. Would like to be there and support my mum but that's the downside of living abroad (UK).
My son turned 18 on Wednesday and boy did that make me feel old lol. I can still remember seeing and holding him for the first time :) and now he's a young man .......
Anyways, enough of my blabbering and onto this .................
I totally love these new Sassy girls and they may just be my favorite, for now anyways lol. Since it's almost Valentine's day I made the card to fit with that theme - just not sure whether this young lady didn't get any cards or perhaps not the card she wanted :). Hope you like it.

Paper Sundae + Totally Papercraft + Kraftin' Kimmie and more
Good morning Thursday.
Well, what a tado yesterday. Felt like I was running around like a headless chicken (yes I know, not a pretty sight I tell you). Didn't get a chance to get on the computer let alone do any crafting. Talk about being busy lol. First my mechanics finally came to pick up the car, then had to go to Belper on the bus (and they only come once every hour) to take my son to the doctor, who was 30 min late. Shopping, cooking, washing and ironing, phone ringing non-stop - grrrrr lol. But I did manage to find a little time last night to make ......

Cupcake craft + Sketchy friday + craft your passion + A day for Daisies
Good morning Tuesday.
Still really cold and I am so looking forward to spring and summer now. Maybe that's why most of my cards are very colourful at the moment hehe.
Waiting for my mechanic to come and collect my car which will be good when it's mended. My son's school had to send him home in a taxi as I was unable to collect him - school is in Belper and I live in a small village outside. He had been sick and is not feeling too good :(.
Mr Posty delivered a nice little parcel for me this morning with a few stamps from Polka Doodles - can't wait to play. In the meantime I would like to show you this...
all the materials used (apart from the image) is from the nearest craft shop in Derby where I went just after christmas to splash out a little and use my christmas money :). This time I haven't used my Promarker but instead used my water-colours again and highlighted some areas with Prisma pencils. I like it!!
Materials used
Image: Wild pixie from A Day for Daisies
Papers: Bo Bunny: Love Bandit (old release but I only just bought them)
Ribbon and gems: local craft shop
Ranger Stickles Crystal
CHALLENGES:
Craft you passion - Let's tie one on (use ribbon etc to tie)
Cupcake Craft - Something new (papers, ribbon, gems)
A Day for Daisies - A fresh coat of paint
Thank you for dropping by and hope you have a lovely day, Mette

Friday Sketchers + Just Magnolia + Sukkersott + Basic Grey
Good morning Monday.
Did you all have a good weekend? Mine was fairly quiet - still got Mr Flu visiting and I don't feel too brilliant this morning. Saturday night Phoebe got acute ear-ache and was crying for ages before I managed to calm her down and sleep. Poor baby :(. I did get a little crafting done so without any more ramblings from me .........
Magnolia always seems to be the perfect stamp for any occasion or age and they are a dream to colour too. This sweet image has been coloured using Promarkers, someday I might go back to using my Prisma pencils again for a change. My mother is always complaining that I use english greetings on my cards but I do not have any danish greeting stamps. Hopefully I will get some when next I go home or even better... I could always ask my mum to send me some hehe. The greeting on this card means "Congratulation on your day" (well, roughly).
Materials used:
Image: Magnolia from the Pink ribbon collection
Papers: Basic grey "Sugar Rush" + ???
Buttons: Papermania
Flower: Prima
Lace: Stash
Sticker: Basic Grey "Eva"
CHALLENGES:
Friday Sketchers
Just Magnolia - Anything goes (buttons optional)
Sukkersott - Birthday card
Basic Grey - Spots and dots
Do you stack up? - Cute as a button

Tickled Pink # 1 + Sweetstop #90
Good evening Saturday.
Hm - today has been kinda weird and please don't ask me to explain as I'll just get in a muddle. Been cleaning all morning - trying to collect some of my daughter's old toys to give to charity but she keeps fetching them back from the bag into her toy box. She's not played with any of them for ............. ages. My oldest has gone to the cinema. He and his girlfriend have been seeing each other for 2 years now - wow!!!! My other son is in bed with flu. Me? I am feeling a little ill but we all know that it's almost impossible for us women to spend a day in bed.
I am really surprised I managed to finish this card. I started colouring yesterday and wasn't sure on either papers nor colours etc. But this is a digi image from Tickled Pink and she's called Cherrie birthday. She's just adorable. I coloured her with Promarkers and used the sketch over by SWEETSTOP SKETCH challenge. Will also enter it into the new TICKLED PINK challenge blog where the theme is Anything goes - easy peasy!
Materials:
Image: Tickled Pink
Papers: My Mind's Eye
Flower: prima
Button & Ribbon: stash

Simon Says + Do it with digis + Dutchdare + Cute Card Thursday + Stamping for the weekend
Good afternoon Friday.
Well, woke up to snow this morning and it has been snowing quite heavy until about 11 am but has finally stopped. Went into town to do some shopping - I managed to get a lift from a friend. My car is still broke (head-gasket again) and won't be picked up until monday - £140.00 it's gonna cost me :((.
There are a lot of challenges around at the moment for A New Beginning and I just love this image from A Day for Daisies. I made this card for Phoebe's auntie who's expecting her first at the end of January. After years and years of trying she finally got pregnant with IVF. They already know it's a little boy :).
I have used a lot of my old papers (they must be at least 2 years old) for CUTE CARD THURSDAY and blue for STAMPIN FOR THE WEEKEND. SIMON SAYS and DUTCHDARE both asked for New Beginnings as did DO IT WITH DIGIS (they want digital images only). Both the sentiment and the button has been in my stash gatering dust for ages. Time to use them I think.
Materials: Nap-time @ A Day for Daisies
Papers: very old from stash (Me and my big idea, K&Co)
Button and sentiment: from stash (OLD)

Whiff of Joy + Color Throwdown + Crafts and me + Flutterby Wednesday
Good afternoon Thursday.
Just when I thought I would be getting some well deserved peace ALONE my sons are both home today - one with flu, the other cos he doesn't have any lessons (he's on his last A level year). So be making lunch, washing, fetching this and that etc etc and not able to indulge in my daily blog-surfing. However, did give me a chance to finish this ........
as I had a headache last night I didn't get to finish my card and been doing it this morning. Made this using the sketch at WHIFF OF JOY and using the colour challenge at COLOR THROWDOWN. The papers are torn to fit with the challenge at CRAFTS AND ME and since the image has wings it will go well for FLUTTERBY WEDNESDAY. As with most of my colouring I have used Promarkers and I had a lot of fun with this sketch. Loved the paper tearing too :).

Mojo + Paper Sundae + Colour create + Promarkers challenges
Good afternoon Wednesday.
OMGoodness - it's so lovely and quiet in my house. All the kids have gone to school and I am totally enjoying being all by myself. Not even the miserable dull and wet day can make me feel depressed. To top it all I won a $25.00 voucher from Simon Says Stamps with Papertake Weekly - how awesome is that!
Had my lovely coffee earlier (yes - I only have 1 a day to cut down on caffein) and am now having a hot fruit tea :). So I am feeling OK today.
Anyhoo, my card for today is made using this week's MOJO sketch, the stamp is a christmas present from my sons (yeah ok - so I chose it lol) and fits with PAPER SUNDAE "Something new" Challenge. It's coloured with PROMARKERS for their challenge "Thank you" in red/pink/white for COLOUR CREATE challenge.
I love these Simply Sassy stamps from Sugar Nellie - huge eyes and so trendy. A dream to colour. I did a little embossing again on the white scrap.
Materials:
Image: Hippi Chick from Sugar Nellie Stamps
Paper: Mer and My Big Idea + scraps
Stamps: Whiff of Joy 2008 sentiment and Crafty Individuals
Ink: Versa Magic "Red Magic"
Emboss powder: Papermania clear
Gems: from Quixotic

Lovely Hanglar does cooking
Good morning Tuesday.
Well, back to normal again. All the decorations are coming down today and the kids will be back at school tomorrow. Finally going to have a little piece and quiet and time to do all the things I have put on hold.
I love Hanglar stamps - like so many of us and wish they were more readily available but it's nice to have 1 now and again. This image was sent to me from a dear friend and I used it for the recipe challenge at LOVELY HANGLAR. The image is coloured with Promarkers and the flowers are handmade. Stamped and embossed some white paper and then cut out the flowers, the centers are coated with glitter. I have used 3 flowers, 2 brads and 1 ribbon and kept it entirely in pink - it's Phoebe's 5th birthday in 2 weeks and she LOVES pink :).
Materials

Papers: Anna Griffin and Me and My Big Ideas
Flowers: handmade
Brads: Papermania
Stamp: Crafty Individuals
Ink: Ranger "Worn Lipstick"
Emboss powder: Papermania clear
Stickles: Cotton Candy

Something bright and a little confession
Good morning Monday.
Still a bank holiday here in the UK but with Phoebe still hot I doubt she will be able to go to school tomorrow. Ben's has a nasty cough which causes him a lot of pain but I seriously doubt there is anything I can do :(.
Over the last few days I have been having a little tidy up of my stash (I couldn't find things I needed or wanted) and must confess I feel rather ashamed. I seem to have a lot of stamps - both rubber and digi - which I have never used. The same goes for designer paper, I have so much I could open a paper shop, well almost! The worse thing is I still buy more lol. I hope it's not just an obsession from which I suffer. So I have decided to use some of my oldies before buying anything new - wonder how long that's gonna last, already seen a few thing I absolutely NEED hehe.
Enough ramblings for now. I wanted to show you this card I made with the free image from Mo Manning which has been available on her facebook page. This is called "Wonderful Day" and she's just gorgeous. Loved colouring her with Promarkers and will enter her into this week's MO CHALLENGE "Kids and animal". It's looking so dull and dark outside I wanted to use a lot of bright colours - can't wait for spring!

Papers: "Lime Rickey" Basic Grey
Flower: Prima
Gem: from Quixotic paperie
Sentiment: Hero Arts
Ink: Versa Magic "Turquoise Gem"

SMILE!!
Good morning Sunday.
So far so good on my resolution but Mr Flu has entered my house un-invited and is affecting my oldest son badly and my little princess has now caught it. I hope that I will be able to craft a little today in between being a nurse-maid (and crossing my fingers I dont catch it).
I always love the sketches over at FRIDAY SKETCHERS. Not only are the sketches super but the DT is super talented and such an inspiration. This card has been made following their latest challenge and I have combined it with JUST MAGNOLIA where the theme is Anything goes. I used this little cutie from the Travel series and coloured her with Promarkers. The little flower I made by hand.

Thank you for dropping by and have a lovely day, Mette

Thank you
Good morning Saturday and a very happy New Year!!
Well, another year's over and we are at the start of a new year. I usually don't do resolutions but I will try my hardest to post on my blog once a day (ok, life does have a way of messing with most resolutions hehe).
We had a lovely evening. Phoebe and I went to bed early while my sons celebrated with my oldest's girlfriend and a mutual friend they have known for year. I gather they got a little intoxicated but hey, they are all young :).
Today I have made a Thank you card. There are several challenges with this theme and it seems like an appropriate card to make to thank for all the good stuff from 2010. Following the great sketch by SUGAR BOWL, who incidently are celebrating 2 years and 50 challenge, this card will be perfect for CUTE CARD THURSDAY, ALLSORTS and PAPERTAKE WEEKLY. I have used one of Elisabeth Bells images for Sugar Nellie (don't think she's available anymore) and coloured her with Promarkers. I think she's rather perfect for a thank you card.
