Clown

Good morning all.

Wow - what a fabulous Jubilee weekend we have had. The concert on Monday was amazing and the celebrations yesterday just wonderful. So many people showing the respect and love for the Queen, I doubt any other royal can command such an out-pour of affection. And noone throws a party quit like the British Royal family - even as an outsider I have loved every part of it. I hope HRH The Duke of Edinburgh recovers real soon and what a shame he missed part of it.

It's rather quiet here without James but it's the calm before the storm - both James and Ben will desend on my little house on Friday. Oh yes - I do miss my boys like mad but they are growing up and needs to live their lives :). I think Phoebe misses them too although I am sure she doesn't miss James teasing her lol.

Here is my card for today .....

....... the theme at Mayzy Art challenge is "Circus" and I just love this little clown. You can really go to town and use your imagination when colouring - so much fun. Theamed her with some REALLY old paper and a few buttons.

Challenges:-

Can you digi it - All buttoned up
Digital Tuesday Challenge - Anything Goes
Mayzy Arts Challenge - Circus

Thank you for visiting and have a wonderful day. Hugs, Mette

Force Girl

Good evening all.

What a day. It's been raining all day and we so wanted the sun to shine on the Queen's river tour. Would you believe the Queen, who is 86, stood up for well over 3 hours taking in the sights of all the boats on the river in her barge as it joined the procession down the river Thames - what a fabulous lady. Even just watching it on the TV was spectacular and although I am not British I still felt a sense of pride (strange really). I am sure she enjoyed it immensely despite the rain. And tomorrow the concert followed by a Thanksgiving service in the St Paul's cathedral and carriage procession thu London. This really is an eventful time. Roll on the Olympics.

My project for the day ......

...... a little bookmark made for a girl who loves adventure and Sci Fi. She will have a book too :). Used Krista's super Force Girl, available HERE. I am a huge Star Wars fan so this girl had to come live in my collection of treasured images. A few different papers, some buttons and bits have been used. I am gonna enter this into the SC challenge "Tags".

Thank you for visiting and have a super day. Hugs, Mette

Bicycle Chloe

Good afternoon.

Hope everyone in the UK is enjoying this long bank holiday and the jubilee celebrations. Not sure when it all kicks off but will definately watch on TV. The British Royal family knows how to throw a party (remember last years wedding?!).

The weather here in my little corner isn't too good - very grey and I have a knitted sweater on. Hope the sun is back again soon.

Tomorrow James is going up to his brother in Sheffield for a few days. I am so happy as they have spent the past 15 years fighting and now they a chilling together hehe. Ben won't be home until the end of June as he has some loose ends to tie up. So for the next few days it'll only be me and my princess here. They kids have a week's holiday and then it's back again for 6 weeks before the 6 week summer holiday.

Here is my card for the day .....

....... I got this stamp a few week's ago and thought I would use it. I love riding a bike so this is a fun image for me. Simple layout and will enter this into the Sparkle Creation's challenge.

Materials used: Bicycle Chloe - card stock - Jillibean Soup papers - Prima flower - Unity sentiment.

Thank you for dropping by and have a great day. Hugs, Mette

Good evening all.

I am back with a reminder that it's time for another DILLY BEAN CHALLENGE and this week we want to see stripes. That's not too difficult but why not head over to the blog to see what the talented DT ladies have of inspirational projects. They have produced some awesome projects.

This is my card ........

........ using the gorgeous LuLu Framed. She's available HERE together with lots of other fabulous images by Megan. I am sure there is plenty to tempt you with. And then come and join us in this week's challenge.

Thank you for dropping by and have a lovely evening. Hugs, Mette

Peony

Good morning all.

I am not sure if you know already but one of my favorite stamps are the Moonlight Whispers from Kraftin' Kimmie. I just love their quirky faces with huge eyes and tiny noses and Annie (the mother of all Whispers) is brilliant at coming up with the right image - of course in collaboration with Kimmie. I don't use them often enough but manybe that's cos I love a LOT of other stamps :).

One of their latest releases was flower girls and I have been holding back, telling myself that I definately don't need any more stamps that will just sit and gather dust, but in the end I couldn't resist any longer. And I got 2 :).

This is the first one .....

...... Peony. Isn't she gorgeous?! I so loved colouring her - that is one sweet and innocent face :). And love the little bee hehe. One of the good things about these stamps is the matching sentiment - they are always perfect for the image.
I will enter my card into the KRAFTIN'KIMMIE CHALLENGE "Get Sentimental".

Materials used: Peony from Kraftin' Kimme - cardstock - kraft - some old Basic Grey dp paper - button

Thank you for dropping by and have a great day. Hugs, Mette
