Picking Apples

Good morning crafters.

I have to state that I am seriously upset about the English weather this summer. It's been one long and extremely wet May and June and it seems July is going to be cold, wet and dull too. Someone please tell the weather man that we need some sun to charge up our batteries for the dark, cold and wet winter ahead lol.

I was going to wait with my post today as I am waiting for a brand new camera to arrive. Alas, it has not come yet so you will have to put up with another scan. I am really excited about the camera, I got it in advance for Project Life. Can't wait to start "clicking" again hehe.

Right, my card for today features one of my favorite stamps (and one of the first I bought approx. 4 years ago) and I still love her. Made this card for Elphine House Challenge ............

Materials used: Picking Apples (mine is from Sugar Nellie but no longer available there) - Papermania card-stock - Cosmo Cricket papers - gems - Unity sentiment

Thank you for visiting me and have a great day. Hugs, Mette

Good afternoon all from an overcast Derbyshire.

Well, we have a lovely weekend and now it's gray and wet again :(. I had a little trouble getting Phoebe to school this morning. I think she wants to stay home with mum all day long so we had a few tears. I hate leaving her crying but the teachers assure me she's fine.

Today's card feautures an oldie but definetely lovely stamp ....

MATERIALS USED

Stamp: "Sitting" from Funky Kits

Hippie Chick

Good morning all.

Well, my son is finally back at school but have Phoebe home today. She has been really poorly over the weekend and has problems breathing. I just wanna make sure she's 99.9% before sending her to school.

Sorry for not posting for a few days. It's not that I have been ideel - I have been really busy getting stuff ready for the new Dilly Bean Challenge and also made a lot of christmas cards. Honestly, I am getting a little fed up with seeing christmas papers and images lol.
The other day I received a big box from my mum. She had collected a lot of things for Phoebe including paper dolls. I LOVE PAPER DOLLS, it was my favorite childhood toy. I would sit for hours drawing, colouring cutting, organising etc. In the box from my mum were about 15, all from a danish magazin and I love them. So I have been helping Phoebe cutting and organising..... guess who had the most fun?!

Anyhow, this is my card for today ................

..................... My son's girlfriend has a birthday on christmas eve so I made this card with a gift pocket inside for a voucher. I love this image with her HUGE eyes and relaxed expression. I used the colour theme from COLOUR Q (I am too late to enter the challenge) and will enter it in SATURATED CANARY CHALLENGE too :).

Good afternoon all.

Hope everyone is feeling good and enjoying a dry but chilly day. Been having a lazy day apart from baking some bread (which my son has almost eaten hehe), been to the park with Phoebe and I am gonna go do a little colouring soon. I want to work a bit with my Prisma pencils - I have neglected them for a long time.

Just wanted to share with you my card for the SUGAR BOWL CHALLENGE .......

............ a super CAS sketch by Marie Terese. And I have used another stamp from the Lonely Stamps Club which I have not used in ages. I remember hunting high and low to purchase this one and I am hardly using it lol. I have kept the card clean and simple.

Rupunzel

Good morning all.

I absolutely hate being rushed of my feet early in the morning. I prefer a nice steady morning with my usual routine. However, this morning I had to go to the doctors and dropped Phoebe of with my friend at 8.15, caught the bus at 8.35 and was in town for 8.45.
My doctor is finally arranging fysio for my foot (about time too). Then he casually said he needed to measure my blood-pressure ............ 160/100 it was. I was pretty relaxed (been sitting 30 min just reading) so it came as a huge surprise. Gotta go back in 2 weeks to have it re-taken - cross-fingers.

Ok, so here is my card for today, it's for the SATURATED CANARY CHALLENGE ......

............ I have not used one of Krista's digital images but one of her stamps instead. This young lady has got so much hair it was really fun to colour. And yes, I know it's a lot of orange in my cards lately but it is autumn and my fave colours are citrus.

Rupunzel

Good morning all.

Well, it's another glorious morning here but we have been told that it won't last. Heavy rain and hail has been forecast so I am gonna stay at home and do some crafting. Besides my weekly shop will be arriving this afternoon so need to be here for that.

Both my sons are doing revision at the moment for exams all this month. James has an english exam tomorrow (Of Mice and Men) and later there will be maths, science and cooking exams. All these will be counting towards his final GCSE grades next year.
Ben is in his last year at school so these will be his final exams before University. Can you imagine the tension - you can cut it like a knife lol.

I know I have said it before but I do love these Simply Sassy images. I think it's the eyes, the hair and obviously the shoes :). So much fun to colour and they are perfect for modern colours. This one has more hair than most so you can really go to town. The SUGAR BOWL CHALLENGE theme is Love/Wedding and I made this for my daughter's best friend.

Stardust (2)

Good morning all.

Well, still have James home poorly. Bot sure what's the matter but he looks "dreadful". At least he will have next week to get better - he can't afford time of school with exams coming up.
It has been a miserable week and I sure hope that next week will be better with schools closed.

I love the Simply Sassy Stamps designed by the talented Krista, she has her own blog HERE. Their huge big eyes tell their own story. Stardust is one of my favorite and she's such fun to colour. I went with non-traditional birthday colours and I really like the result. This card will naturally be entered into SUGAR BOWL CHALLENGE.

Stardust

Good morning all.

Well, today is April Fool's day and I have a feeling the weatherman had an early trick up his sleeve. Promised glorious sun and warm temperature and what do I have - exactly, grey and cool. Maybe it will brighten up later. Phoebe went to school in her summer uniform so I bet her little legs will get cold but there was no telling her this morning as other girls are wearing them. Tonight she's having a friend over for dinner so she's very excited.
My son James is having a verbal french test today so we have been half living in France this week with him talking french - been rather fun and I really hope he's doing well.
New stamp arrived yesterday morning and had to be christened straight away. I absolutely adore these big eyed girls by Krista Smith. They are a dream to colour and wear the most fabulous shoes. This little lady is called Stardust, she's been coloured with Prisma pencils.

Sweet Stop Sketches + Crazy 4 Challenge + more

Good morning all.

First day of spring and the sun is shining. Been busy lately getting the house sorted and done a little bit of crafting. Well, don't really have that much to tell at the moment - life is just rolling along steadily without any drama or epic events.
I am experimenting with my colouring - both Prisma pencils and Promarkers and finding the best methods for skin and hair. Having lots of fun and putting it all to paper in a little booklet so I don't forget anything. I coloured this super cute image with my Prismas and I think it looks ok.

Hello all.

Not an awful lot has changed since yesterday. Weather is still grey and wet and it's still half-term. Tomorrow is my mother's birthday and I sent her an older card which I thought would be perfect for her. I won't be able to visit her but at least phone calls are not too expensive.
I do have a lot of birthdays coming up in the next few months - both my sister and my gran in March. This card is for my sister and I really hope she'll like it. As you can see I am colouring more with Prismas again but will still use Promarkers.

Sugar Bowl + Promarker challenge + A Spoonful of Sugar + more

Good morning Friday.

I can't believe that it's been a week since I last posted - just goes to show that all your good intentions can get knocked sideways by the things life throws at you lol. Have not really been in the mood to craft which usually happens when I receive some bad news. My dad had an accident while skiing in Austria and they only thought he had cracked a few ribs. Turns out a few days later that he was bleeding internally and my mum and him are stuck in Germany for 5 days till he can be transported home to Denmark. Would like to be there and support my mum but that's the downside of living abroad (UK).
My son turned 18 on Wednesday and boy did that make me feel old lol. I can still remember seeing and holding him for the first time :) and now he's a young man .......

Anyways, enough of my blabbering and onto this .................

I totally love these new Sassy girls and they may just be my favorite, for now anyways lol. Since it's almost Valentine's day I made the card to fit with that theme - just not sure whether this young lady didn't get any cards or perhaps not the card she wanted :). Hope you like it.

Mojo + Paper Sundae + Colour create + Promarkers challenges

Good afternoon Wednesday.

OMGoodness - it's so lovely and quiet in my house. All the kids have gone to school and I am totally enjoying being all by myself. Not even the miserable dull and wet day can make me feel depressed. To top it all I won a $25.00 voucher from Simon Says Stamps with Papertake Weekly - how awesome is that!
Had my lovely coffee earlier (yes - I only have 1 a day to cut down on caffein) and am now having a hot fruit tea :). So I am feeling OK today.

Anyhoo, my card for today is made using this week's MOJO sketch, the stamp is a christmas present from my sons (yeah ok - so I chose it lol) and fits with PAPER SUNDAE "Something new" Challenge. It's coloured with PROMARKERS for their challenge "Thank you" in red/pink/white for COLOUR CREATE challenge.
I love these Simply Sassy stamps from Sugar Nellie - huge eyes and so trendy. A dream to colour. I did a little embossing again on the white scrap.
