Click!

Morning all.

I do believe my mojo is still on holiday. Or maybe I just haven't gotten back into the swing of things yet and am hoping that next week will give me more energy and find my mojo again.

Talking of holidays, I am one of those persons who just have to take lots and lots of photos and our trip home to Denmark was no exception. Lots of piccies from days out, family gatherings and food. Most of these stars my daughter who is 6. So what better way for her to celebrate and remember everyone than to make her a little album with lots of room for her photos and she can then write her own stories and how she enjoyed herself.

Today's project is for my GDT period with the lovely and talented ladies over at The Digi Bells DT blog. It's definately worth visiting as there is so much wonderful inspiration and of course it features the adorable digi images by Elisabeth Bell, available HERE.

For my album I have used the super cute image Click! - perfect for Phoebe's photo-album. I used my Abbey Road papers (I hate cutting into papers lol), a tag and envelope from Manilla and lots of Phoebe's little stickers - well, it is her album after all, and K & Co. rub-on words.

Thank you for dropping by and have a lovely day. Hugs, Mette

Catch of the Day

Good morning all.

Well, I am finally back home again. Had a wonderful time seeing family and friends again and just didn't want to come back home.

Been really busy getting sorted today - unpacking, shopping (yes, the fridge was empty), washing and getting everyone ready for school next week. But I did manage to squeeze in a little crafting time when Phoebe went to a party earlier.

My post today is for The Digi Bells DT blog. Well, who doesn't love Elisabeth Bell's cute little characters - there are just so many to choose from. I must say that I come from a fishing town on the West Coast of Denmark but I can honestly say that they never caught anything as cute as this ......

Materials used: Catch of the Day from Elisabeth Bell's Digital Collection - Papermania card-stock - scraps of pattern papers

Thank you for dropping by and have a lovely Sunday. Hugs, Mette

My Prince

Good morning all.

Today I have another little post for my GDT at Digi Bells DT blog.
Even though I am on holiday I am already thinking about the time when Phoebe goes back to school and the parties she will be invited to. And there are many at this young age. So I wanted to make something a little different and came up with a little decorated envelop containing a message. This would be perfect on a little present.

I have used one of Phoebe's favorite images from Elisabeth Bell's digital web shop HERE. There are so many cute images to choose from it's hard to make up our minds :). My prince is such a sweet image perfect for little girls.
Don't forget to visit the Digi Bells blog daily for mouth-watering creations :).

This is the envelop with the little tag that goes inside ........

..... and the envelop on it's own .......

Materials used: My prince - various pattern papers - envelop template - doily - washi tape - Teresa Collins die-cut

Winter Susan

Good morning crafters.

My post today is as GDT over at The Digi Bells DT blog. Wow - what an honour to be working amongst such talented ladies and I am so excited to be using more Elisabeth Bell images. I am pretty sure that one of my first ever stamps back in 2008 was Elisabeth Bell :). If you visit the Digi Bells blog there is a list of companies from where the gorgeous images are available (in the sidebar).

It's August and this is the time when I start thinking about my Christmas craft - cards, tags, packaging etc. I always end up making a rushed dash towards the end of November not getting everything done:(.

So, here is my first GDT project for The Digi Bells ...........

Love you this much

Hello crafters.

A quick post from me. it's cloudy here but still very warm. Starting to feel a little bit better. Tonsillitis has gone but still have the massive marks on my arms which are red and painful.

Going to Gulliver's Kingdom tomorrow with Phoebe, James, Ben and Charlotte (Ben's GF) which should be fun. It's an amusement park aimed primarily at under 12s but we live just around the corner and have free tickets :).
We are starting to get very excited about the Olympics in this house - apart from Phoebe we are all looking forward to watching a lot of talented sports people :)

Here is my little creation for today. I have used an Elisabeth Bell digi stamp coloured with Promarkers. I will enter this into the Elisabeth Bell's World challenge "Summer Scene"

Materials used: Love you this much by Elisabeth Bell - Papermania card-stock - Bo Bunny Papers - twine - buttons - paper Smooches sentiment

Thank you for dropping by and have a great day. hugs, Mette

Strawberry girl

Good afternoon all.

Whoa - been a few days since I last posted here but been soooo busy. It's non-stop action here in crazyland - parties, exams, mummy-duties, nurse-duties and pay-for-everything duties hehe.
Phoebe has been to her parties at the weekend, James did his practical cooking test at school (2 1/2 hours cooking 4 dishes), Ben is sorting the last few things before going to Greece on Sunday and I feel like I have been running around in circles like a headless chicken. It's not helped by the fact that my left foot has been in agonising pain for the past month. Not sure whether to go to the doctor or not, but it's very painful.
Today I went to Derby with my 2 boys (Phoebe's school teachers were not on strike) and I spent a small fortune. A little clothes for me (boy did I need that), clothes for Ben and a suitcase and other bits. James had a lot of money from his birthday so he got kitted out with some trendy clothes (£70.00 for a pair of jeans - glad he paid himself lol). Then a visit to my little craft shop in the market - got a K & Co. paper pas for £20.00 (360 sheets of 12 x 12 designer paper - OMG is all I can say). Expect to see me use that a lot as there are so many wonderful papers. I love that shop - so many great bargains and such a friendly service :).

Right, I made this card for the Digi Bell's Blog Hop challenge and I just love Elisabeth's images. So sweet and full of innocence. Perfect to colour and for any age and occasion. I coloured her using Promarkers - isn't she sweet.

MATERIALS USED

Image: Elisabeth Bell (I am not sure if she's still available)
Papers: Cosmo Cricket
Ribbon
Buttons

Thank you for visiting me today and enjoy your day. Hugs, Mette

Picking Apples

Good evening all.

Brrrrr - it's gone rather cold again here in the UK. The heating is back on and the winter coats get another airing.
Tomorrow the easter holidays start here in Derbyshire which means I shall have my kids home for the next 2 weeks. This means buying in more food (teenage boys eat like elephants - all the time), I shall also have to negotiate between them as to who's go it is on the computer (yes, I will definately loose out in that discussion) and trying to make sure Phoebe doesn't get bored.
Don't know if any of you have had this problem but in the last few days I have been re-thinking my card-making and stamping and where I want to go with this. I usually get a stamp/digital image because I like them - not really thinking about how much use I will get from it. This has resulted in a lot of boxes full and PC files full of images which never get used. So I have sat down and written a short list of my favorite stamp companies and will stick with those in the future. However, my neglected images will be given an airing as it's a shame to just ignore them. I have also been thinking about my own style of cards but not finished that thought yet lol.

Anyways, this image was one of the first stamps I bought in 2008 (I believe I gave it to myself as a birthday gift hehe). I don't think she's available anymore but she's lovely. Used Prisma pencils for colouring.

MATERIALS USED

Picking Apples by Elisabeth Bell

Button
Gems
Whiff of Joy Sentiment

CHALLENGES

B'n'W Challenge - Blue/Green/White

Elisabeth Bell digi Design Team Call + 4 challenges

Good morning!! It's Monday and last week was a mixture of highs and deep lows. I celebrated my 50th birthday on the 5th and had a lovely day. However, on Friday my car broke down while out and about and Mr RAC told me that the Cam-belt had broken. Bye bye car - you have been a faithful servant for the past 10 years. Living in the country it's not easy getting around without a car especially with limited public transport.
Anyways, my card today is first for a DT Call for the very talented Elisabeth Bell. She's looking for a DT to promote her gorgeous digi stamps and I used one of her latest "I love you this much". Isn't she gorgeous?? She reminds me of Julia Andrews in Sound of Music singing The Hills are alive .......... You can find her HERE together with other lovely images.
I have coloured her with my Prisma pencils as usual although I did receive Promarkers for my birthday but need some more practising before posting anything for you ladies hehe. Used a lot of different papers from my stash and a punched flower with a button. The sentiment is from Hero's Art.

CHALLENGES

Color Throwdown
Simon Says - Sing it!
Cute Card Thursday - Whateva!!

Thank you for dropping by today and enjoy your day, Mette

Sugar Bowl # 27

Well, seems like everyone and everthing is getting a virus at the moment. My kids have been poorly and for the past 10 days my PC has had a nasty virus. Yes yes - silly me opened an e-mail and WHAM, infection. So my friend has formatted the PC but it is taking ages to re-install all my stuff and I don't feel the PC is working properly. Roll on April when I get an upgrade which will make the PC 10 times faster.

I have managed to make a few cards during this time and I would like to show you this card made for the Sugar Bowl challenge. It is a super sketch and I have used this lovely image by Elisabeth Bell. Isn't she gorgeous??? I went with summery colours as I can't wait for spring to arrive.

Ingredients:

Stamp: Sweet n' Sassy by Sugar Nellie. Sentiment by Hero Arts (embossed)

Papers: all from stash (trying to use some of my old papers).

Colouring: Prisma colours + blender

Thank you for swinging by my little corner and hope you have a crafty day, Mette
