Mara
Good evening all.
I have my daughter back home. After going away with her dad for 3 days (yes, you read right), my little ray of sunshine has returned. Didn't realise I would miss her that much lol. Must admit the peace and quiet has gone and I am yet again waking up with backache (she sneaks into my bed in the night).
While she was away I managed to squeeze in a little crafting time but most of my cards featured cute little girls :). This is one of Mo Manning new images Mara - and I would like to enter this into the DP2 Challenge.
Supplies
Stamps: Mara from Mo Manning (digital); Clearly Besotted Stamps (clear)
Paper: Linen textured card-base (local shop); Make it Crafty blending card; American Craft "Dear Lizzie Neapolitan"
Papermania gems and pearls
Promarkers
Challenges
Allsorts Challenge - Use new stash (it's all new this month)
Thank you for dropping by and have a great day.
Hugs, Mette

Spit Happens
Good morning all.
Well, on Saturday I waved goodbye to my son at the train station. He has now gone back to Sheffield to start his second year and taken most of his belongings with him. I do miss him a lot but it's nice to get some normality back :). Phoebe has her bedroom back - yes, Ben put's his stuff in there (tiny house) and it's now clean and very girly again.
I am still not doing any cleaning downstairs apart from the daily tidy up as I still have builders in to do my bathroom - phew, the mess. So waiting till they have done by the end of tomorrow to get busy downstairs. But I will have a lovely looking bathroom :).
Today's card .....

.... featuring Spit Happens available from Mo Manning. Papermania card-stock, designer papers, ribbons, K & Co. rub-on and buttons
Challenges
Jelly Park Challenges - All about the children
Stampin with the Dragon - It's all about the babies
Bronte and Bella's Challenge - Anything goes
My mum's Craft Shop - Anything goes
Stampavie and more - Baby
Thank you for dropping by and have a lovely day. Hugs, Mette

Alisa with roses (Resistance is futile)
Good morning all.
Another glorious start to the day but they say it's not going to last - but I bet we have all been loving this glorious weather.
Tomorrow Phoebe's school is holding a little street party in celebration of the Queen's jubilee - I sure hope it stays dry and a little warm. So much happening here at the moment - the Jubilee, the Olympic touch travelling around Britain and EURO 2012 will start in 10 days time. The boys are looking forward to that, I won't as Denmark is in a really touch group and not likely to progress (Gremany, Holland and Portugal, now that's scary). Later on in the summer the Olympic games and my trip home to see my family. It's going to be a memorable summer :).
I have a question?! Do anyone else try and stick to a certain budget only to have it broken by something you really must have!? Well, I did reach my budget limit and wasn't going to spend any more money for a while and along come Mo Manning with a new adorable image. I tried to resist - I honestly did but my resolve didn't last long.
So my card for today ....

..... features the latest Mo Manning image. Alisa with roses was just too adorable to pass up. Isn't she gorgeous ..... now maybe you understand why I found it so hard to resist her lol. Or maybe I am just to easy to pursuade hehe. She didn't need a lot of details so I kept the card simple.
Materials Used: Alisa with roses from Mo Manning - cardstock - Jillibean Soup dp - crinkled ribbon - sentiment from Unity Stamps
Challenges
I {heart) Promarkers - use a digi
Celebrate the Occasion - Anything goes

Mummu - In honour of my "mormor"
Evening all.
Just a real quick post to share with you a card which has been standing on my deck for a few days. Reminds me of my "mormor" (granny) who sadly died in March. I miss her terribly but I don't think her passing will hit me until I go home in the summer and she's no longer in her house. My "mormor" had a wicked sense of humour and would have love this card.
Meet the fabulous Mummu ....

...... she's one of Mo Manning's creations and I think my favorite of them all. This card will be entered into DP2 Challenge "Tickle my funny bone". I have used my Primas colours for this image.
Materials used: Mummu from Mo Manning - scraps of various papers - ribbon - sentiment from Dilly Bean Stamps.
Thank you for dropping by and have a super evening. Hugs, Mette

Married
Good morning all.
Please don't be confused by the title. It's not me lol - been there, done that and NEVER again :).
But One of Phoebe's little classmate's parents are getting married this weekend and I thought I would make a card for them. And gives me a chance to use this gorgeous image by Mo Manning - I love it.
So here is today's card .....

...... not entirely sure I like the flower thingy (I don't often use flowers on my cards so maybe that's why it looks alien). But the colours are lovely and as I said I adore this image.

Teen Fairy Pia and a confession
Good morning all.
Brrrrr - it's really cold now. Contemplating putting gloves on but that would be rather silly. It hard to type and colour with them on lol.
I have a little confession to make. I am rather ashamed to say that the penny hasn't dropped before now. For a while now I have not been happy with the way my colouring is looking - erm, did I hear a astonished gasp hehe. No honestly, I wasn't sure why and then I began thinking that maybe it was the cardstock that I used. I have been using a rather affordable paper but have been reading on other blogs different papers that you all use. Yup, I have been officially slapped around the face with a wet kipper and yesterday I received a few MAKE IT COLORFUL sheets of cardstock. DOH!! - it took me this long to wake up!? I am officially converted so no more "make-do" with second best.
Right, enough rambling about me so now onto my card for today .............

....................... I have used one of Mo's gorgeous images - yup, another image I have never used - shame on me. Isn't she stunning and I love her facial expression lol. It took me a long time as I just couldn't get the lay-out of the card right but I think it looks ok now.

Good morning all.
I don't know about you but I am about ready for spring. Not that we have had a horribly cold and snowy winter - far from it, but I love spring when everything comes alive again and you even feel a lot younger inside :). Mind you, I love all 4 seasons as they all have their own charm, colour and celebrations.
I mentioned yesterday that my mum will be 70 and I made this card for her .............

.............. dont worry, she doesn't visit my blog hehe. I thought this image was just perfect for her and I kept it simple. I have not added the numbers 7 or 0 - I didn't think it would suit the card (I have put it inside). I do have several cards to make - 1 for my little princess who'll be 6 next week, one for my son who's 19 in 2 weeks and also one for my gran who'll be 90. I think something special for her but need to find a suitable image first.

Snow Days
Good morning all.
Brrrrr - it's getting really cold now (well, do have the windows open to get rid of nighttime dust and smells lol) but at least the sun is shining.
I am going in to town to do my weekly shopping today. I normally do it on fridays but it's so busy I have decided to change my shopping day. How I am gonna survive the after-christmas sales I don't know but my boys have made me promise to go with them (I don't like crowds). I am after a few bargains myself so will have to endure it - at least it's just for 1 day a year lol.
Talking of bargains - we all something for free right?! Well, the wonderfully talented Mo Manning had a free image on her facebook page for 24hours and what a sweet image it is, don't you agree ......................

................... Mo just produces the most darling little girls (and boys). They are perfect for young and old alike. I think this will go to my little princess who is luckily back at school today :).

Good morning all.
Hope you are having a great day and keeping healthy. Looks like we will be having some sun here today, yesterday it rained non-stop all day and we were forced to stay in-doors.
My bathroom is looking more and more like a battlefield everytime the workmen have been but hopefully it will be worth the hassle. Having a shower in the morning is an achievement in itself as we are not allowed to splash - acrobats beware!!!! lol
I recently won a challenge with Scrapbooker's paradise and was asked if I wanted to participate in this week's challenge. I didn't have to think too long before saying yes so why don't you pop over and play along - it might be you next week.

Little Umbrella
Good morning all.
Still brrrrr - getting colder here. Not sure what I expected since we are in the middle of October lol. Would love a house somewhere hot like Australia where I can spend the winter months but finances don't quiet stretch to that hehe.
I managed to get the doctor out to have a look at James yesterday. I don't have a car anymore and there is no way your can take a sick teenager on public transport. He thought that it was a bad flu virus which can also cause sickness. His advice was - plenty of rest, fluids and paracetamol. James' school e-mailed me with things he could get on with while he's home. This is an important year as at the end he will have a lot of exams for GCSE and although he's a bright kid and got extremely good grades last year he can't afford to miss too much.
Right, today's card doesn't have an image from the Lonely Stamps Club and this is one of my favorite images EVA made for LESS IS MORE .....................

................... this is the gorgeous Little Umbrella from Mo Manning. The challenge at Mo's this week is Inspired by a song and the other night while watching the Friends episode where Ross sings to his baby daughter "I like big *censored*" I instantly thought of this image lol. James thought it would go well with Queen's "Fat buttom girls". And guess what - I am not scared of white spaces anymore :).

Good evening all.
I know it's a little late for me to be posting but been a busy day. Went into town today to do my weekly shop. Luckily the shop delivers so I don't have to carry all those bags on the bus home.
I am going to have to book an appointment with my doctor again. Since June I have had a pain in my heel which gets really bad after a walk. If I sit down and rest I can hardly put any weight on my heel it's so painful. Last time I went he thought I had pulled a tendend and recommended rest and Ibuprofen. But it has not helped. So I think I need som fysio to try and resolve this. (A new foot might be preferred but they are in short supply hehe).
Well, here is my card for today .....................

................. I sincerely hope I am in time with this for MO'S CHALLENGE. This sweet little girl has been sitting on my desk for a week now begging to be coloured and I finally did it. Matched it up with a little patchwork. Isn't she fabulous!? I absolutely love her.

Late rabbit
Good afternoon all.
Sorry this is going to be a quick post but I have Phoebe at home with a temperature and terrible cough. She get's astmatic so it is sometimes a little scary listening to her struggling for breath. Hopefully it'll be over by tomorrow as she is a little bored and misses her friends.
Yesterday we went to the local church for the school's harvest festival concert. I really enjoyed it and I think she did too.
Well anyways, on to today's card ..............

.............. not to sure about the colours and I think it needs something - buttons perhaps. Made this for the challenge at Mo's "Furry Friends". Used one of the wonderful images that the generous and talented Mo Manning offered as a free image a while back and I think he's super. He's called Late Rabbit and goes with the Alice in Wonderland series. He's has had a light colouring with Promarkers.

Video Boy
Good afternoon all.
It's done. My son left this morning around 10AM in his dad's car and drove towards his new and independent life. Did I cry??? You bet I did! I felt such a fool lol and I am remembering all the times my mum cried when I left (to Switzerland, USA and England). He called me a while ago - settled into halls and sharing a flat with 4 other students (each have their own room but share kitchen and lounge). He sounded fine hehe.
Well, it's blowing a gale here but at least it's dry so I have been washing and washing and washing and crafting so I have this to show you today ......

..... you can never have too many teenage cards. Used one of Mo Manning's fabulous illustrations and a little sketch from Clean and Simple. I did find that the card cardstock was missing something so I wrote various Xbox games on it. Had to ask my son James as I do not have a clue. I think it works rather well here :). Promarkers for colouring and I have cut out the image (something I really love at the moment). The card has been decorated inside. This card will be entered into the DP2 Challenge
MATERIALS USED
Video Boy digital from Mo Manning
Cardstock and kraft
Jillibean Soup paper
A tiny scrap of ribbon
and my white pen

Well, thank you all for visiting my space and enjoy your day. Hugs, Mette

Trinity
Good morning all.
Only 1 week left till the kids go back to school on the 5th September and soon after that, on the 10th, Ben leaves home to go to University. Feeling really, really sad which isn't helped by my gran being in hospital. She had a brain scan yesterday but luckily they found nothing and my mum said she was back to her usual self. We are just taking a day at the time but I won't be able to go home just yet.
Been keeping myself busy - oh yes, the house is sparkling so please wear sunglasses hehe, been doing a lot of colouring (digging out old stamps that have not seen day-light for months) and watching the IAAF Championship from Daegu, I LOVE athletics and what an exciting championship this is, can't wait till next years Olympics.
Anyho, my little show for today is this sweet image from the super-duper, oh-so talented Mo Manning. Isn't she cute and except for the glasses this could be Phoebe in a weeks time. She's been coloured with promarkers.

Sugar Plum Fairy
Good morning all.
Well, the sun is having a small break at the moment so Mr Showers has taken over. Hopefully Miss Sun will be back tomorrow for the local carnival. The theme this year is animals and Phoebe wants to be a cat :). It will as usual be a fun-filled day ending, this year, with a family disco. I did try to sell my handmade cards one year but it's not the right venue as people don't want to carry stuff around.
I must admit that although I am missing Ben it is nice and peaceful around my house at the moment lol. Ben and James clash non-stop and wind each other up so that sometimes it's full-blown war here. James has been calmer and happier not having big brother around to compete with and fight with. Well, onto something completely different ..............

...... my card for today. Isn't she fabulous??? I adore Mo's images - they are so full of character and bring back lots and lots of memories from my childhood. This is Sugar Plum fairy but I made her into a christmas fairy. Her little plums have been coloured brown to look like nuts hehe. Lots of glitter and red as those are my favorite christmas things. One more christmas card done!

Dani with presents
Good evening all.
What's this?? Two posts in one day - that's almost unheard of but I have been lucky that I got some time this weekend to do some serious crafting.
My daughter has suddenly discovered POKEMON (omg I remember my sons being crazy about that almost 8-10 years ago). She's got a sticker book, dug out the boys old Pokemon Trading Cards and watching the episodes starting with #1 (did you know there are over 650 episodes). This however means that mummy has become invisible or not needed for the time being. Not sure if it's a blessing or tragedy lol.

Just a quick show for you this evening and Yes, I do know it's not christmas yet. But this week at MO'S CHALLENGE they wanted to see tags and I always want to do my own for christmas and somehow run out of time. So now I am starting :).
I have used the super trendy image Dani with presents, some kraft stock and DP. A little glitter with a glue pen and "Hey Pesto" - sorted.
Thank you for dropping by and enjoy your evening. Hugs, Mette

For Teacher
Good evening all.
Just a really quick note as watching the England game and later won't have time as the BGT final is on. Another super sunny day and got lots done in the house.
My son's gf has just arrived and we are all putting money in a pot and will order a nice curry. Gonna be a lovely family evening :).

When I saw this little sweetie on Mo's blog I absolutely has to have her - isn't she adorable. And as it's the time of year for giving cards etc to teachers I made this for Phoebe's teacher. May have to make some more as there are a few teaching her class. I followed the sketch for this week's MO CHALLENGE.

Paper: Cosmo Cricket "Garden Variety"

Thank you for popping in and hope you enjoy your evening. Hugs, Mette

Tea Party
Good morning all.
Saturday and I am up with the birds. Phoebe decided that we would get up a 6AM so that's the end of my sleep-in lol. Gave me a chance to do a few things before the rest of the house got up. The boys both have a Saturday job and later on I will have to do my weekly food shop (hate it). It's grey and dull here in the UK. Nearly put on the central heating last night - I was freezing.

Here is a card made for MO'S DIGITAL CHALLENGE. This fabulously dressed "lady" is going to a Tea Party so what's better than to borrow mum's shoes, gloves and feather boa. Flowers and pearls have been added to make it more elegant and ...... it is the theme this week.
MATERIALS USED
Tea Party @ Digital Pencil Too
K & Co Classic K McKenna paper
Flowers
Self-adhesive pearls
Stickles (for boa)
