Whiff of Joy # 76

When I first saw the Norma Fickel stamps from Whiff of Joy back in 2009 I loved them instantly. I got a few for christmas but have not gotten any since then. This image landed on my door step this morning and I had to ink it up straight away. Isn't it lovely?? I am entering it into this week's WoJ Challenge. I have coloured the image with my Prisma pencils and blender and added gold glitter glue to the stars. There is also lots of gold embossed on the DP.

Mo's Design Team Guest call for May

I have never entered a guest Design Team challenge but thought I might give this one a go. It's to be a guest for the month of May to produce 4 cards/projects. Since I absolutely adore Mo's illustrations and her Design Team is so talented it would be an honour to be part of it for just a short while.

I have used Mother-to-be as I think it's such a lovely image. She has been coloured using my Prisma pencils and blender. I hope you like her too.

Just Magnolia #52 - Anything Goes

I enjoyed making last week's Magnolia card so much I decided to enter this week's Just Magnolia challenge too. I have used some bright colours as summer is just around the corner and I for one can't wait. This little Tilda with her sunflower is just perfect for a summer birthday and I have again coloured with my Prisma pencils. Hope you like it.

Mo Manning # 28 - a recipe

I absolutely adore Mo's illustrations and only wish my bank balance was big enough so I could buy them all. But I have to settle for a few now and again and this little girl is my latest. Isn't she adorable?? The "lucky" cricket reminds me of Disney's Mulan and her lucky cricket.
I am entering this card into the Mo's challenge which is a recipe - 1 ribbon, 2 buttons/brads and 3 Designer Paper. The image is coloured using Prisma pencils and blender.

When I first saw this image I knew I had to have it. It's just so lovely. Unfortunately it's taken some time as it has been sold out for a while. But it's finally in my stamp collection. And of course I had to use it straight away for a challenge.
I chose Roses on Paper challenge which is a lovely sketch. The image has been coloured with Prisma pencils and blender.

Dare to be Sassy

I am always looking for more "mature" images as my mum and her friends prefer those to the "cutie girl" images. Sassy Studio Designs provide just that. Their images are fun, sassy and mature and perfect for anyone over the age of 14 lol.
I love this image which is just perfect for the "peace and inner tranquility" woman who lives inside us all. This card is made for the DARE TO BE SASSY challenge which requires you to use Yellow, Green and Blue.
I will send it to my mum who, although she is now retired, is always on the go.

Just Magnolia - anniversary challenge

It has been a very long time since I last made a card using a Magnolia image and considering Magnolia was my first love when I first started stamping it's a little bad. A few years ago there didn't seem to be such a vast selection of stamps. Today there are 100s of stamps both rubber and digital it's difficult to choose.
Over at Just Magnolia challenge they are celebrating their 1st anniversary - many congratulations ladies - with a challenge and a blog hop. It's a lovely sketch bu Mina and added extra "Thank you". I needed a thank you card for my ex mother-in-law who has been looking after me and my kids after some dental surgery and this seemed like an excellent theme. A bunch of flowers always brings a smile to any face. I have coloured the image using Prisma pencils and blender.

I love digi challenge #4

I don't get as much time to visit all the blogs on my list as I would like but now and again I have some spare moments. And I love visiting other talented ladies - you find lots of inspiration and occasionally come across a digi designer not seen before. That was the case with this lovely image.

She's called Bonnie designed by Tracey Feeger and I love her. I thought she would be super for the challenge over at I love digi where the theme is to follow a recipe (I have just realised that I make a terrible card cook as I have used 4 instead of 3 papers - hope it's still ok!!).

Sweet Pea Challenge #1

Firstly I would like to apologise for the quality of the photo - decoupage is very difficult to scan and this is a high image.
For those of you who have yet to discover the lovely stamps from Sweet Pea this is the kind of image which they stock. I made this card for the very first challenge at Sweet Pea Challenge which this week is "All that glistens is gold".
The base card is stamped with corner flourish and embossed with gold and the image has been mounted on purple and gold card. The jewellery on the image has been highlighted with gold glitter glue. This image is called "Golden Promises" by the talented Ching-Chou Kuik and the decoupage images are available from The Crafty Purple Frog.
This card looks much nicer in RL lol.
